Use a vapor system to recharge your batteries while you are driving on the road. Look at my videos and you will understand what i am talking about. We don't need to use gasoline to run it. We can use anything that will turn to vapor (moonshine). Its cheaper to run a small vapor motor to run a generator to charge batteries. Look at my generator project you will see.
My large generator will run over 4 hrs on one gallon of gas using a vapor system. But using a small motor running a converted alternator would probably be enough power to re charge your batteries. This is something i have been thinking about. You are already there.
yes you are right generating hydrogen takes more power .but mixing it with gas you have a reduction in your consuption with a system properly built there is no solution to this problem if you had desel engine i would sugest to go to ALL MC donnalds and gather all there used oil you will have your bio diesel ,this is the cheapest youcan do other than that ,there is walking LOL,we are far from NO gas completly .
My resolution is to not eat any honey-due melons.

Hydrogen

Can you be a little more specific? Generating hydrogen from water takes more energy than you get back out of it.
The only Hydrogen vehicles I know of in the wild are a handfull being tested in California, and cost about a million dollars each.
Even the fuel itself is rather expensive. No, I am looking for something a little more practical right now.

My New Years resolution was to use less gas. Not quite as great as yours, but my EV isn't done yet!
