he didn't look very happy being held. not all cats like to be held. he was trying to give you the message i think. i didn't know that until i rescued a cat that loved to be petted, but not picked up and held. all my cats had been lap cats, so this was new to mean. he kinda acted like this kitten. many books on cat's body language. i was very surprised. my humble opinion.......no harmful remark meant.

Don't pay any attention to those stupid comments. My cats go NUTS for anything carrot related. I'm not sure why, but they love carrots- especially baby ones that are just their size, so to speak. Yes, I also asked my vet about the raw carrots, and she said so long as we rinse them and only give them carrots once a week, there is NO harm in it. Especially since a lot of cat food (wet cat food) has carrots in it. My girls also like sweet potatoes, which they get once a week with their carrots. =)
