I was caught by the police for stealing money from my employer. They carried out an investigation and found out that I'd been stealing for years. In my defence, I told them that what I'd done was within the rules that I had made up for myself. After I'd given back the thousands of pounds that I'd stolen, I said sorry and they let me carry on as if nothing had happened. My boss didn't mind either, and let me keep my job.

I'm afraid so, what hasn't been widely discussed yet was the conflict of interest this put the MPs in when the Housing bubble was being formed; they were making money hand over fist from taxpayer's money and had no motivation to stop the market was deforming so badly. Absolutely right, when Ian Tomlinson was killed and before the footage of him getting attacked was released, the police made statements that despite ALL the cctv coverage there was no footage of what happened to the poor man very shortly after his death, so apparently you do not need to review tapes to see what is on them. Add to this that is now illegal to take photos of police officers and it becomes all to clearer what the purpose of CCTV is, if not for the protection of the public then what?

I remember when people used to make cross channel shopping trips to buy goods from other EU member States.
Under EU law people in the UK are totally entitled to buy goods tax paid from EU states.

Our Labour MP has no interest for the concerns of his constituents, a career politician who always appear to jump on 'popular bandwagons' when it suits - but 99% of the time when members of the constituency have done the hard work. My Grandfather was hardline Labour, My Father Labour - Morally, our MP has no place in politics. When it comes down to the Home Secretary swindling the books, it really proves government is a 'palace built on a sewer'! David Cameron get them out Im a TORY!!

A senior minister for justice, crime and security... who 'employs' her husband for 40k pa and then pays for his porn films at taxpayers expense, while claiming 116k for a second home that turns out to be room in her sister's home, where she doesn't happen to stay more than 4 days per year. this expenses issue is one of the few things gutless gordon is doing right. the rest is committing him and labour to polical oblivion. new labour under mr. blair has rapidly turned into old labour and more. tax and ban is the order of browns gov'nt. save jobs by repealing the smoking ban, ventilate ,not segregate. germany i think is taking this route. punish the irresponsible, not the responsible. the obergruppenfuhrer hewitt and her tobacco taliban has to go...permanently.
