its a shame his birth place is such a pathetic condition. Its such a mystry to me to see that some hindu scholars state that Buddha was reincartion of lord vishnu, yet there is a strong evidence that budhism was thrown away from india by hindus. Also looking at this video its somewhat embarrassing how hindus havent done much to enhance to glorify budah's janam asthan.

Let me clear , Buddha was born in (kapilvastu) Lumbuni Nepal, he got enlightment during the period of Maditation in Bodgaya,(India), After his enlightment he walked across all these region of Nepal and India.

Dear viewer please note it : India is building new Kapilavastu in India, to create fake rumer arround globe. Before 5 years india media has made one rumer about buddha born in Udisha state of India, and now Indian media and government is trying make new birth place in India-Bihar(UP). Not to be offensive , but why they are not trying to go for archiological facts, proofs, and 1000s of papers published from achioogical scholars? which all cleary states Buddha was born in Nepal.

there was no nepal or india when buddha was born 2,500 years ago, lumbini happen to be in nepal when nepal was created. to foreginers the whole of south asia was just known as india back then

dear gujucheap, in those time Nepal was called "Kiratdesa". The term "Nepal" only starts from 4th century BC.

During the Buddha period, there were many tribes ruling the various region. Shakya tribe(whom Buddha was born into) was ruling the Kapilavastu region.

During the Gupta Empire, many tribes were were rounded up and Sanskritize to form One Nation-->Bharat(India), with One language Hindi.

But Kiratdesa(Nepal) has always been a sovereign nation. Plz do research before writing nonsense.
