  • Funny thing is that Jordan seemed to have a lapse on defense by sagging off Muggsy and giving him a wide open 3 attempt. Maybe Jordan wanted to win it with a buzzer beater instead of the tedious fouling that usually happens at the end of a close NBA game.

  • @mrmacross I think that Jordan leaned off of Bogues because he was playing his odds a bit. Although Bogues had some success that year from beyond the arc, historically, Bogues was not a good 3-pt shooter. That time, it didn't work for Mike.

  • 01:16 travling michael jordan ?

  • hahahaha i love how shattered that Hornets bench guy looks

  • lol when bogues ties the game with the 3 the hornets bench starts laughing at the bulls....then Jordan come right back with his own 3....not so funny then.

  • this is REAL basketball here, best error of the game, The 90's!

  • fuking hell the hornets were awesome, bring back the charlotte hornets

  • Thanks for this wonderful vid.

  • the next player to jordan is kobe.. and he is still far

  • the song playing in the beginning in nba 2k11.

  • Nothing but net.!

  • i would be happy to bench for the bulls. getting paid to watch the best player ever to play. nothing wrong with that.

  • @HIfinest The league minimum I think was 360,000 a year. I would take that to watch him play.

  • would u rather have me or jordan

  • JORDAN FOR THE WIN . . . YEAH!!!!

  • man i miss these hornets... especially bogues ;)

now we're stuck with the BOBCATS. who actually made the playoffs this year, but muggsy bogues' hornets were always more entertaining

  • Jordan...the best to ever do it!

  • 8:17

  • 8:20 greatness

  • This was like a perfect game battle. It just ended just like that. Smooooth.

'96-98 bulls were the best team ever. I miss watching Bulls games on WGN too.

  • Yes buzzer

  • there is only one king.. no king james or what so ever you called lebron.. lebron is good, kobe is good but not even close, not even close at all...

  • so exciting to watch them play...i rmb i used to stay up just to watch these games...now i actually fall asleep half way of today's nba game....... :(

  • Man if you liked this movie you should check out NBAPremium(.)tk

  • wow look at 7:24 know that some impressive shooting

  • i miss when you actually had to remember the score of the game cuz the score wasnt showed all the time. now its on every single second.

  • i was at this game! feb 11th, 1997 i believe.

  • i was only 5 or 6 when this game was played but i remember this was back when a bulls game was an event..no one would be out driving (and this is on california ave) everyone was infront of a tv somewhere...it's too bad they don't play basketball like this anymore

  • 5:30 even though nothing happened it would've made a great poster.

  • dennis so strong! :D

  • Ahhh. I miss the good old days. That was a great period of time.

  • 8:29 - Jud Buechler looks alot like Chuck Sherman from American Pie LoL.

  • was that Mugsy Bogues who tied the game with the 3?

  • wow wat a stupid question lol they clearly said mugsy bogus ties the game with a 3..u must have hearing problems lol

  • oh, im sorry i didn't have speakers on my computer at the time, due to renovations going on at my house. Things doesnt always seem the way the do... probably just like your account. The Answer? More like the Cancer TBQH

Should make sure you think things through before you say something.

  • hahahahaha ur such a fagg lmao

  • yes, he tied the game with the 3

it's not easy for a short guy to play in NBA, I don't even remember he still played in 1997, first time I saw he play in Hornets was 1993.

  • yes.

  • great ending to the game. haha take that hornets!

  • think back to when you were watching mj live...did you really ever think he was going to miss game winners?

  • G.O.A.T.

  • Rice made a big game, but Michael kill him...

  • how do you give up a 3 at the end of the game if ur the bulls? wtf ..

  • Jordan walked at 1:25

  • you could call a walk on every other play yesterday, today, tommorow. Whats your point?

  • lebron a king? without any ring? hahahaha

  • yes...until lebron gets at least a few rings he cant be considered great.

  • this is just great. mugsy hits the three and JORDAN DID ALSO.. KILLED... he is the one

  • exactly. everybody on ESPN and ABC ride LeBron Nuts so hard.. Im not hating hes good but I think Kobe and Wade are better.

  • Wow bringing me back, I was in high school in 1997. Look at those names...Derrick Mason...Glen Rice...Robert Parrish

  • Michael was the best there will ever be, but if i had to guess who the second best will be i'd say it's that other 23 called LeBron. We're witnessing greatness right now in King James. Enjoy it.

  • True greatness wins championships. Until "King" James wins one, or six, he's proved only that he's another solid ball player.

  • Ya i think james will get atleast 3 in the end. When hes a free agent one of these years hewill end up going to a steller team and win one with him heading it. If hes smart he will take partial contracts, but who does that ;) If i really cared about winning i would make my organization get people in there in atleast 4 years or see ya

  • @ForEmily23.. yup your absolutely right. where is lebron now? two straight winning the mvp award but end up eliminated and never reach the finals..If your a leader don't tell that you have injured elbow just play your game and do your best, in game 5 lebron got only 15pts 0-4 fgs in the first half then finish with 3-14 gfs.Forget about lebron and kobe they are good players but not close, not even close..There is only one king and he wear no. 23 that's michael jordan..

  • @veronicaisl i know jordan is the greatest but dont compare him to kobe and lebron just keep him outta there for a moment....if there was no such thing as jordan who would be the best player now

  • @VvFrostyvV compare? whoa i don't need to compare mj to kobe or lebron. What i'm talking was about stats and what happened right now.. kobe and lebron are good players mostly i like kobe now because he immitate all moves of mj and he did in a good way. We have our own opinion, difference view and knowledge about the game. Put your best comment and i will respect it.

  • @ForEmily23 teams win championships you stupid fuck. the cavs are one of the worst teams in the league without lebron, no one other than MJ himself has a better efficiency rating/win shares. and jordan sure couldn't get his rings without his team getting overhauled eitehr, so how about you check your shit before you start putting the weight of a 5 player championship on ONE fucking players shoulders (who DID carry his SHITTY team to the NBA FINALS FIRST TIME IN NBA HISTORY)

  • @jonnieos Jordan didn't leave the Bulls in 88 to go join Magic and the Lakers or Bird and the Celtics. LeBron has already put a big asterisk next to his championship IF he ever wins one.

  • @Taffykill Kobe had the most dominant player since jordan, shaq, on his team to win his first 3 championships (shaq won all of those finals mvps). Kobe had gasol, odom, bynum, and artest who is a defensive specialist to win his next 2. Bird had mchale, parrish, and dennis johnson, Magic had kareem and worthy. Are you guna put an asterisk next to their names? It doesnt matter who he plays with because lebron has become the leader and playmaker for the heat. He has wade and an overrated bosh.

  • @jonnieos im just a nubie...but 1 thing that i know that pippen in 87 is 'unknown'(not superstar)

so if jordan is lebron....i know for sure that he must find another team to find a good teamate!

but he choose to still in bulls n rise a relationship with pippen, know each other, share knowledge n time together until pippen is 1 of the best basketball player with jordan. and finnaly bulls make it.

so for me lebron is good player who find a teammate to 'make it',but jordan 'make' a teammate

    peace.

  • @jonnieos ur retarded if lebron was so good then why did he and his team lose to the mavs.and he didnt only carry his team to the finals its ws mike bibby, mario chalmers, chris bosh, and of course dwayne wade.evryone o the team did there part dumbfuck and kobe is by far better than lebron, and wade is the teams alpha lebron is they're second in command. wade was on the team longer and knows them better. so what the fuck you got to say now bitch ass kike

  • @ForEmily23 THUMBS UP IF YOU HAVE AS MANY RINGS AS LEBRON

  • @KHAN388991 Nothing.

  • @ForEmily23 Wrong, teams win championships. You think MJ won his 6 rings without other hall of famers in Pippen, Rodman or coach Phil Jackson? Not to mention a slew of other All-Stars on those teams like BJ Armstrong, Horace Grant, Kukoc and role-players like Levingston and Longley.

  • the second best player might just be Magic Johnson

  • Well if we"re talking players that have already played i would have to say that Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain was the second greatest.

  • lebron james is good but dont call him the king if he hasnt done anything to prove that he is the "king"

  • @Tr0jans4L1f3 dude no....if james can shape up his attitude and actually win a championship then MAYBE ill consider him 3rd best....but kobe has to be second best...his numbers r up there NEXT to jordans and he has hit more buzzer beaters than mostly every1 in the NBA except jordan

  • @Tr0jans4L1f3 He's out of the conversation now that he's decided to team up with Wade and Bosh.

  • @Tr0jans4L1f3 nope im better

  • he's so calm throughout the shot n at the end. its like he doesnt feel pressure. everybody goes crazy but to him its just like breathing in air.... its amazes me

  • beacause he is really sure that he can shoot it

  • What would Be if 1998 Jordan version will play versus 1988 Jordan verson ???? I know...I would be THE BEST VERSUS THE BEST!!!!!

  • I was there...the only time I was able to see Jordan live. Good luck I guess...

  • watching michael back in those days were amazing. i miss all the guys back from then. it was my favorite "era' in basketball.

  • The Great One

  • its funny though how red kerr goes from being pissed yelling "you gotta protect the area and they dont do it!!" to "yeah you cant believe it!!" all in 2 seconds

  • im not sure if thats a defensive fault on jordan or not. bulls are up by 3 so ideally u want to protect the 3. but mason was matched up on rodam so u wouldnt want to drop down and make him pass it back out for a tougher shot. jordan droped down and mason passed it out to mugsy. jordan was still able to get back and contest the shot. maybe jordan thought since mugsy was so short that hed have time to get back and use his height to block or mess up the shot.

  • i remember this game so vividly, i was 9. Those were the days

  • 6.54 Anthony Mason's first career 3 pointer.

  • THE SMOOTH CRIMINAL and SMOOTH OPERATOR !!!

  • the hornets though they won but they didnt

  • jordan best plyer of all tym

  • great vid! and nice channel!

  • I think this is probably the most under rated Bulls teams, people tend to forget that this team won "only" 69 games. This was a great team

  • Awesome video!

    5:48 scared me LOL

  • Michael Jordan... older, slower...but he still was finding ways to be best... First,.. mj was a fadeaway specialist from his debut.. and thats all.....thanks from Lithuania :)

  • The GOAT with another of his airness "common" performances...this game, in any other player, will be among his best...in MJ is just another day at work..clearly the best ever...thanks from spain

  • jordan the king, kobe wannabe jordan cant mess wit mj

  • I remember this game, this was Rodman's first game back after kicking the cameraman in Minnestoa

  • Great game. MJ scoring 40+ is a usual business. The thing is he does it so effortlessly like no one else. His game was too perfect.

  • whats the beginning song?

  • during the starting lineup?

that's "Sirius" by the Alan Parsons Project

  • Jordan did this on a regular basis. And this isnt even a very popular game amongst Jordan fans.

  • At this point MJ wasn't tryin to dunk on everyone or take the ball to the whole that much, but as you can see the fadeaway jumper became the new weapon. Also it's noticeable how even at his age (34) that MJ who was not as quick as he once was, of course not, still was quicker than his opponents!

  • If you watch this video, make sure you subscribe to my channel, too.

    More Bulls games to come

  • 96-97 could be arguably the best that MJ has ever been. Of course his season's stats don't reinforce the arguement. And unfortunately they ran out of gas the last two weeks of that season and lost 3-4 or so to win "only" 69 games. Before that stretch MJ seemed to be at his best because he knew his limits so well yet still had the mental edge and drive to win everytime out, to turn it on at exactly the right time. Physically he was superior to most opponents.

  • wow

  • at 5:31 i just love when he crosses the ball over and splits the defenders that he crosses it over so low and fast that the defenders cant even touch the ball and it just bounces right in front of him so it sets himself up for another move to the basket or a shot or pass its like another triple threat..mans a genius and wen he went to dunk if that was young jordan he woulda dunked on them all cuz u can see him take flight and hit a notch just a little higher than all the other players

  • very cool best guy to ever step on a court very special and inspirational man he was

  • MJ scores 40+ AND hits the game-winner...seems like business as usual to me. haha. did you see how the bench reacted? it was almost like they were used to that sort of thing happening...

  • Great spacing and great ball movement by both clubs in this game. Thanks FE23!

  • 8:56 - Was that "The Shrug" part II??

  • that was the shrug

  • very nice video mate appreciate it

  • great upload foremily23!!

in this game mj's pace is a bit relaxed to me. maybe the hornets defense was relaxed too.. he made all the shots so effortlessly, like this is just a pick up game. the play on 5:31 is crazy. with only two dribble he cut right through into the lane for a potential dunk, that kind of efficiency set him apart.

not that it is important but the final game winner looks like a 2pt to me, since his foot might touch the line.

  • 43-6, that's just rediculous.

  • man MJ has had 69 and 6

  • Another great post, and anothr buzzer beater for Michael. The only player with the "love of the game clause in his contract."

  • thanx this is a great video.keep it up

  • thanks, foremily23 :)
