@enotaa actually he did AM first, the same ppl who created smallville wrote this pilot as well and when they were bringing in GA they considered him because they had worked with him on this pilot. Justin Hartley has said himself that he did AM before GA.

@gretch165 This is a Pilot episode to a possible Aquaman tv show, wich means that this would be the 1st episode of the aquaman tv series and a pilot episodes serves as a test episode for the show to decide if the pilot is good enough to have more episodes and therefore a tv series, however the network didn'y want it and so there's only one episode.

@gretch165 Actually the pilot had good chances and was well received however when the chanels merged into CW the resulting chanel didn't think that the pilot should be continued in a tv series, it's a shame, it could have actually turned pretty well.

Good stuff! This would have been great. They gave Birds of Prey 13 episodes and they just did a never released pilot for this when it is way better. Can we say Baywatch with good actors and possibly 2 to 5 seasons, oh well Justin is even better at Green Arrow

wow i can see why the show didnt pick up. The acting was horrible, i dont know if it was the actors fault or the really bad script. Plus the special effects was horrible. I can understand if it had a small budget and couldnt get the high end stuff but still, they should of tried. If the script was better they could of continued this show.

@KevalProduction I agree on the acting. All the girls in the pilot were terrible, but the male lead was ok. However, I was surprised by the quality of the CGI effects. In fact, the entire production value was pretty high for a pilot and especially for a small network like the WB/CW. They should have recast the female leads and rewritten some of the dialogue and the show would have done just fine.

@ysquare21 yeah i could see where they wanted to take this, and yeah the special effects WOW. I remeber in the starting when they are underwater all they did was distort the image. ive seen better special effects on blue clues

@KevalProduction Obviously there are better special effects ... but you have to keep in mind that this was JUST a pilot from a small network shot back in 2006. I thought the CGI was pretty decent if you keep that in mind.

yeah, I gotta say, while part of me would be delighted to have a show where I get to watch Justin Hartley be shirtless 98% of the time, I'm not surprised this didn't sell. The overall caliber of acting is moderate at best (though I think Hartley is better than the rest), but the script writing is HORRIBLE!!!!
