I'm no expert but I believe that footage to be %100 real. From my own personal experience in filming for UFOs, I often just film planes flying over(in hope a ufo captures it!) because it makes good practice. His reaction is somewhat standard as I have reacted similarly when observing the unknown, only to find out it was a balloon.

Thing is, I do actually have UFOs on tape that I have recorded on my mini DV camcorder, I think I have over 8 ufos, some orbs but definitely some strange craft too.
