I liked Sammy better, sorry. DLR was ok, but Sammy was better, and they stayed popular thanks to him. Had Sammy not come along, VH would be one of those "Who can it be now" 2 or 3 hit wonders. If DLR was so great, why didn't he do well on his own? Because he SUCKS, that's why. Sammy had a good gig going BEFORE he got with VH, it's why they picked him. "I can't drive 55"? Great song WITHOUT VH....and VH made him better, but DLR, as I said, sucked, and VH didn't make him better, except in studio

1). I wish Dave would sing the songs they way they were recorded. I know he's done it his whole career, but I wish he'd sing them right for once. No one else in the band completely changes the way they played their instrument on the albums.
2. Michael Anthony backing vocals are needed. Find someone who can sing background like Michael, at least. Not to play bass, but just to sing backing. It was a key to the VH sound.

I wish for two things:
1). I wish Dave would sing the songs they way they were recorded. I know he's done it his whole career, but I wish he'd sing them right for once. No one else in the band completely changes the way they played their instrument on the albums.
2. Michael Anthony backing vocals are needed. Find someone who can sing background like Michael, at least. Not to play bass, but just to sing backing. It was a key to the VH sound.

@judyneric Daves long past the point of not being able to sing his own songs the way he recorded them eons ago. Plant is the same way. Both voices are trashed after years of hard living and age. Its almost too painful to witness.
