  • annoying tone.

  • A song without emotion is just a bunch of notes

  • it may be too fast but if your high off love to the xtreme then this is n0thing!! lolzzz

  • 沒感情

  • I think he shows emotions. Very frolicsome. Other renditions are tenderer. After all, love is capricious.

  • He has a technique but he doesn't have emotions...I've seen much better players and performances.

  • Too fast! Without emotion, only technical mastery!

  • Parabnéns perfeito!!!

  • porca t***a

  • ja so ist das halt ne

  • Muito bom

  • Lang lang brings out the feeling

  • langs not that terrible, He's just a bit better then everyone makes him out to be.

  • my bien pero la toca muy rapido, de heche muyyyyyyyyyyy rapido, donde esta el sentimiento, no es tocar por tocar

good, but too fasttttttttt, where's the fellin'...

  • this was actually better

  • Lovely. But I think you skipped a few parts.

  • No, Lang Lang is a hoax sponsored by the record labels. He (and probably you) know nothing about that kind of music, which is definitely not composed to be played by a clown like Lang Lang.

    Keep it in mind.

  • BRILLIANT GREAT!

  • Beautiful...

  • Sure I thumb you down, because I've a completely different conception of what "feeling" is.

  • with you.

  • Comment removed

  • "romantic" does not always mean "tender"

  • that's right!

IT's just a total showoff of skill. and piano is not all about that.

  • passionless. not the same piece, as what was written though totally noteperfect.

  • beautiful

  • Played without feelings... the technique is really extraordinary... but it's LIEBESTRAUM!!!

    Where are your feelings?

Playing gut means not only the technique!

    2 out of 5. :/

  • Sembra suonata a 4 mani :D

  • Extraordinary technique!

  • GRANDE!!!

  • Is there a full version of this video??

  • One of the better interpretations on UTube, I too sense a lack of emotion.

  • This is the finest I've listened to. Where is a better performance on youtube?

  • I can't say "better," mostly because this version isn't whole, but you should try Evgeny Kissin's liebestraum, which as of now is my favorite recital of this piece. Or perhaps you might like Rubinstein's, which unfortunately seems to have a lower quality of recording than I would like.

  • Look up Eduard Lenner on here. Young kid (I think), plays this superbly.

  • skillfully played.

  • same its amazing but i didn't find any emotion. it was like if he was playing by muscle memory... in some of the parts, they were like really rough... but still, its good...

  • I don't agree with you. On the contrary, I find this interpretation full of emotion!

  • Un pianista che per cercare la perfezione tecnica svuota di passione il brano.

  • He goes too fast... but he's got an excellent technique on his hands!

  • The first minute is full of passion and very convincing. But the cadenza at the end is a bit of a mess and full of tricks, I don't like it. It's not necessary to divide the notes in two hands if you have enough technique. And why only this fragment? Please post the complete piece.

  • Yeah, the notes are there, but I just can't get anything from his interpretation. It starts off well, but then it deteriorates until it just sounds like notes with no expression to me.

  • i agree XD

  • CEPlumb - What does RACE have to do with this? Who said anything about race? Do you hate Whites? If you do, that's YOUR prob, not mine.

  • CEPlumb1991 - I just get a little fed up with all these negative comments from amateurs about professionals. Everyone is not going to play everything the way you like it, because they're not robots. Musicians are artists and unique in their own way have many interpretations; it doesn't mean it's played incorrectly. But everyone is always bitching and moaning and giving THEIR advice like it's a piano lesson, and they're the teacher.

  • CEPlub1991 - Some have even disabled comments because of all the insults. Some have pulled their videos. It just is disrespectful to the pianist who put in so much time and effort to entertain us, and no one shows much appreciation. Some aren't pro's; they're just having fun. But these YouTubers expect profection, even though they can't do any better.

I guess I should have sent you an email instead of posting all this.

  • I couldn't agree more with you there is always someone with some kind of "More Knowledgable Than Thou" comment to make - 'the sound is awful'... 'your pace lets you down', 'you're giving the piece a jazz-tempoed influence, very uncouth' - it is UNNECESSARY and annoying.

  • Since I was 7 and I'm 16; you do the math. I'm not saying I'm a know-it-all. What I'm saying is that others who think they're a know-it-all, are always trying to be professional critics. Some people are even insulting. I have so many comments because that's how many people had nothing nice to say about this awesome video. It just makes me sick, so I'm on a mission, dude. I want to put these people who have no piano vdz, in their place.

  • che spettacolo di canzone! splendid love song"!!..i love it so much!

  • This is not NEARLY one of my favorite pieces because usually I find it quite boring. But THIS sounds AWESOME! The rubatos are outstanding! And the dynamics is what makes it so exciting and not boring at all.

What a phenomenal performance! The best I've heard; too bad it didn't finish. :(

  • CEPlumb1991 - Just when I thought I heard the stupidest comments, you come up with THIS one! You win the GOLD on stupidity!

  • CEPlumb1991 - Just when I thought I heard the stupidest comments, you come up with THIS one! You win the GOLD on stupidity!

  • d00d u should seriously shut the fuck up u sound like such a fag. if i knew u in real life then you would probably be dead kthxbai XD

  • excellent technique but botched over by the careless speed for such a romantique piece.

  • davet1515 - You're a botched moron! He's a renowned player and I'm pretty sure he knows more about how to play this piece than YOU do.

  • Listen to Claudio Arrau. HE IS A MASTER. Not this quack. And as for moronic, YOU need to take SERIOUS lessons and stop psychotically posting 900 times on people's videos, get a life SICKO!!!!!!!!!

  • I may have posted 900 times, but I type very fast; therefore, I HAVE a life! What about YOU? Are you do is moan, whine and complain, and I'M psychotic? You need to get a life by enjoying it a little. Just listen to the beautiful music, take a deep breath, and simply appreciate it, instead of whining. Would you like some cheese with your WHINE?

It's about time sicko's like you are put in your place.

  • Very good romantic expression, not only soft but with wide colors palette.Love this performance!

  • Maravilloso, bonito, romántico y espectacular.

  • too fast :( though technically good

  • glupieDime - You ingrate, the next time YOU play it, play is slower..

    Idioto!

  • Thank's!

  • Wow.... .!!!!

  • lang lang plays much better

  • and lang lang looks like a 'up for it' rent boy too.........

  • what does that mean

  • He looks like a hooker I think that's what he means LOL....he's just an over-marketed funny actor...

  • this is not a very great interpretation, actually very bad. this is a soft song named "love dream". its a nocturne, and it's not supposed to be played like an etude. the technical in this playing is good but it is really payed bAD. no bravo and definetely no encore.

  • Alborz95 - Then play your OWN interpretation. If it's so bad, I want to hear YOUR version. If you can't do better, then you should just shut up and stop bitching. This piece is ALWAYS played this way. Turn your VOLUME down!

  • no. this piece is so soft and delicate and its played choppy and desicevely. its not natural for the piece. it sounds bad. its too tense. pianocriticskiller - get a life

  • great

  • where did the beginning go? oh well, very well doneee : )

  • Very impressive technique, I love this piece. A distinguished lyrical performance. I heard Velluti this year at Italy RADIO3 direct from Quirinale concert: his Liszt-Gounod waltz is astonishing, magnificent sound and aggressive tecnique.

  • euthymos - I agee. But try explaining it to the ingrates on these boards. I don't know why people even listen to piano pieces if they can't appreciate any of them. It's the same people bitching and moaning. They're never satisfied, so why bother? Take a nap or something. lol

You really know how to appreciate beautiful music when you hear it.

  • I think played too fast at places, but it's still nice. I do prefer Rubinstein though

  • Absolutely perfect! Great player
