THIS was my Ronald McDonald. I remember when they changed actors. It just wasn't the same. I'm not sure why but i also recall an actress playing Ronald VERY briefly.
So I'm reading these comments...do they not longer have McD's commercials aimed at kids with Grimace and Birdie and the Hamburglar anymore? Is it just a solo Ronald with kids??
@fivebearrugs As far as I know, yes. The later ones show Ronald getting active with the kids, playing sports, riding bikes, etc. Now they have commercials without Ronald. (Spaceman Stu and the little girl making her birthday wish list.)
Mayor McCheese is H R Puffinstuff after cosmetic surgery and entry into the witness protection program. Big Mac was hisbrother who died while chasing a suspect in a meat packing plant, was tripped and fell into a meat grinder, the rest speaks for itself.
@underwaterwoman30 I thought Mayor Mc Cheese has been indicted on corruption charges and election fraud. (Think about it, how do you think he won every election unopposed?) And Big Mac was fired for failing to bring the Hamburgler to justice.
Hamburgler creeps me out with that noise he makes. Imagine kids in the 70's imitating that. Nowadays if a kid attempted to do that he would be instantly put on meds.
@martinf74 and, in spite of that, the Hamburglar from then STILL kicks ass WAY better than the watered-down version they reduced him to today - actually, the modern version still makes the same sounds; they're just more high-pitched now
@outbackmick7000 , aw Mick can't you just say the freakin pedophile clown is whacked out of his mind from excessive ,uncontrolled masturbation.

These ads would often run on Saturdays, which aired the most children's programming back then. That's why Mayor McCheese says "every weekend."
