  • yo longshot1710 don't say niggas cause i am one and i will rock u. U must be a wigga and since u don't know what dat is it's a white nigga so get at me

  • Your completely retarted your feet should go left right so u have momentum behind your throw and your not flat footed

  • You dont go flat footed. You want quickness

  • i only take 0ne second two pop up and throw to 2

  • @rampageriley99 nice...

  • uhh...why not do something where the catcher is actually taking a ball out of his glove in full gear. he's going to play that way, he might as well practice that way.

  • @nakedvolleyball because its meant for a workout dumbass not practice

  • well my problem is that when the ball gets throwin and hits the dirt infront of the plate i lose track of it and frankly lose clue of what im doin. any advice?

  • @frumplen If you keep the ball in front of you, then no. If you don't keep it in front of you, practice blocking it. Also...the number one rule in baseball, keep your friggin eyes on the ball.

  • Why does everyone assume catchers are always the slow fat kids

  • Hi i am a new catcher this is my first yer catching and im 13. I really like it so far and i want to get good at it. I live in NM and if anyone knows about any camps that would be great. Also if u just wana give me some pointers that would be nice too

  • @kinkysnarf Keep your eyes open and on the ball. If you keep your eyes on the ball and open, you'll see the ball hit the bat and you'll know immediately where any pop-up is going. Keep the ball in front of you all the time. Learn the rule book inside and out. Memorize it. I memorized it when I was 12 and every season I read it again. Learn how to direct your team on cut-offs. Make sure your pitchers back up home plate and third on plays to those places.

  • too tall

  • the footwork is wrong because you dont just hop into position and throw flatfooted without any pushoff from your back leg. There are a lot of drills that I did as a catcher to help my throwing but this will pnly put stress on your shoulder if you throw from this position

  • That's a great observation, but keep in mind that this isn't a throwing drill, it's simply a "quick feet" drill. I'll see if I can get some of our "throwing footwork" drills posted in the next week or so.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • @eliseoaguilar13

Your a joke bro if you had a good arm you could get away with the proper technique. Yes you dont want to be flatfooted but a baseball travels faster than the quickest niggas feet.

  • Thanks

  • good drill, but not the proper footwork for a throwdown to 2nd

  • How is the footwork wrong?????

  • thanks

  • turning in both directions helps to keep your body in balance... you don't want to over train in one direction and not work the other side as well, it could lead to injury.

  • this is a really good drill but i dont get why u have to turn like your a lefty

  • What OnlineFitCoach is right but from baseball standpoint, it's especially the case on a pass ball to your left. You always wanna turn the way the ball got by you. If you work on your left side too, you'll be just as fast.

  • try to run on me? I don't think so!!

  • Sounds good.

  • thats awesome
