  • οπως πρεπει να φωναξω για ακομα μια φορα BLACK SABBATH ΜΕ RONNIE AND TONY FOREVER!!!!!!

  • Dio of course sings this song better, but overall Tony Martin had a bigger impact on Black Sabbath(Tony-5 albums>Dio-2 albums) + all the lyrics he wrote. Tony Martin rules!

  • dude, can Justin Bieber do this magnific solo of Tony Iommi?:O

    Ozzy Osbourne - Black Sabbath

    Dio - Heaven And Hell

Tony Martin - Another Band (he's good but not in this band)

  • Great haircut Tony Martin - Hoddle & Waddle would be proud of you!! Sorry, but this is The Tony Iommi Band - Not Black Sabbath!!!

  • tony martin in topform!!!!

  • He did good but hearing a man covering the work of God will always seem inadequate. Dio IS the greatest metal singer PERIOD. Good luck in the next world Dio :)

  • i don like dio is nomber one

  • Tony Martin is like Tim Owens. But are technically talented when it comes to singing, but neither has any sort of character of their own.

  • @MissAndDie96 so true!!!!!!

  • @MissAndDie96 yeah, damn, he did pretty well Rob's work now to think of it

  • @MissAndDie96 yeah, damn, he did pretty well Rob's work now to think of it

  • I prefer Dio singing this but Tony does a damn good job

  • Toni Martin bad mother fucker and of coarse the rest of the gang...

  • Looks like Neil Murray on bass.

  • whos on bass?

  • Cozy "thunder"Powell

  • What a shame...

  • I never really minded the Tony Martin/Cozy Powell era Sabbath, but it doesn't stack up to the Dio or Ozzy lineups.

  • 1:47 octave fail

  • @kaioxygen Indeed! That part wasn't good!

  • why is he singin´? i´ve hear a version that say ,that ozzy and dio can´t be in the same place, and thats why need another singer, like they do when rob halford sing some times?

  • fuck tony martin, dio is simply light years better

  • @J12D Yo. I think your wrong about that one. This guy can hit the same notes. No problem.

  • Sabbath will never be the same without Dio, RIP metal god for making sabbath greater than ever, Ozzy was great but Dio was Better,

  • I'm guessing Iommi must own the copyright to the name Black Sabbath!

  • Tony martin is an amazing singer !

  • what are you tryin' to do Tony??

  • They´re all great musicians. But there`s something wrong with these line up I really can´t put my finger on it.

  • @ElFrankus For one Tony Martin isn't really on his game in this video, overall he's a great singer, 2 Neil Murray great bass player but he not Gezzer

  • Who is the singer?

  • He ain't shit on the master DIO!

  • Too bad he hacked off all his hair! Love this song, more so lately then in some time! I keep singing the damn thing! hahahaha

  • tony iommi looked nice there, love the outfit :)

  • I just love Cozy.

This is a great version of the greatest band ever.

  • Cozy is racing the tempo

  • You really can't compare Martin to Dio when this is DIO'S SONG. Martin does a great job, but it sounds like he's trying to be DIO with his growls and the horns at 1:28

  • Great, great singer. Tony Martin is amazing. No too much stage presence, but his chops made up for it.

  • cozy on drums !! awesome !! but i hate tony martin..bad choice for sabbath !

  • @blica1 Why??? Tony was awesome one a couple albums.

  • I went to see this line up - it's The Headless Cross tour of 1989. OK, Dio had a better voice and more stage presence and remains my favourite singer, but this line-up was stable, lasted 3 years and gave the band some credibility back after the mess of the previous six years. So don't gripe Bluejay, just enjoy it for what it was - a happy time - you can see it on Iommi's face

  • COZY! :D

  • this guy sucks dio rocks......

  • Não dá para comparar ele com o Dio. Mas ele manda muito bem nos vocais tbm!

  • Yes Dio (RIP) was a better singer but Tony Martin is the one singer who can sing any Sabbath song regardless of the original singer and actually do the song justice.

  • R.I.P. Ronny!!!!

  • Ronnie James Dio......RIP

  • This line-up is amazing

  • Really dig Tony Martin alot. Awesome Cozy Powell playing the drums RIP

  • WTF?..This guy sounds like Dio with a sore throat lol

  • Their time in Moscow in 1989 was crazy. They played thirteen different dates in Moscow alone, in the same arena....and for two of those dates, they played two shows in the same day, one in the afternoon and one later in the evening.

  • who is playing bass?

  • @PeaveyPV20

    I think it's Neil Murray.

  • Dio is better that Tony Martin.

  • Comment removed

  • Hell no. Dio is much better than this guy

  • DIO is way better! Tony Martin is good but what the hell is he doing singing the DIO songs with Sabbath? I was looking for DIO singing these songs!

  • Cozy Powell wails !!!

  • When tony is on.... hes on! Great range, very cool tamber and carisma!

  • I kinda like Tony the best well besides Ozzy.

  • I love Tony's vocals. He fits Dio's songs perfectly!

  • Are there any Sabbath concert dvds with Martin on vocals? If there are I gotta get me one. I love Martin as a vocalist, as much as I love Dio. I'd also like to know if there are any Dio-Sabbath concert dvds, circa-1980-1982. Thanks.

  • Their is a dvd called Cross Purposes live ! from 94 with Tony Martin . And from the Dio era their is

    a dvd called Black & Blue 1980 .

  • neil murray on bass head bobs like a fucking chicken all the time

  • Neil Murray has been one of my favourite bass players since was with Whitesnake, so when I saw your comment I watched the video again..and I don't see his head " . bob like a fucking chicken " at all..why don't you listen to his solid bass playing instead of criticising him for something he doesn't do..you retard.

  • the singer is good !!!!BUT DIO IS GREAT!!!!!

  • midnighttildawn you sad twat

  • @bri1968 what!?

  • Bass player is Neil Murray not Laurence Cottle

  • He has a great voice

thats a good neon knights version

  • I totaly agree! This is not Black Sabbath, this is a pale shadow.

  • ozzy and dio RULE

  • Muito Foda \,,/ò_Ó\,,/

  • Damn that is one badass Mullet!!!

  • jajaja llego hasta el ..... Bloody angels fast descending , no mas , no pudo imitar a DIOs hasta ahi nomás llego Antonio Martinez, igual gran voz del weon

  • HEAVEN AND HELL IDIOT

  • yeah where is geezer? i guess i that time he was with ozzy the other day i see some videos of ozzy and geezer was playing for hem

  • where the fuck is geezer butler ?

  • '89 line up:

    guitar:Tony Iommy

    bass:Laurence Cottle

    voice:Tony Martin

    drums:Cozy Powell

  • RIP Cozy!!!

  • when was travis tritt in sabbath?

  • Comment removed

  • That was funny as fuck. Tears rolling down the cheeks.

  • This is better than I expected

  • bullcrap music!!!

  • DIO where are you? this is bad ass

  • who is this asshole? where is DIO??? please!!

  • He is not asshole! he is Tony Martin! -.-...

  • DIO es Infinitamente mejor cantante que Ozzy!!

  • No, los 2 son grandes, y tú como simple mortal no puedes decidir cuál es mejor.

  • Personally I think that Ozzy was the best, only because he had a creepynes to his singing that fit the idea of the band. The others are good, but Black Sabbath just isn't Black Sabbath without him, and Iommi of course.

  • amen to that

  • This is a great clip to have for a frame of reference because it gives us a better understanding of just how powerful a song this is. Each of the players are top quality - and this tune is still kicking them in the ass. Heaven and Hell in '07 put this unit to shame - and these guys were 20 years younger!

  • this is not Black Sabbath; it's Iommi and friends

  • Wornf man, Tony Iommi Is Black Sabbath!!!!!!

  • Tony is a fucking master, he's guitar is so heavy xD

  • I've always thought it was sad that Toni called this Sabbath.

  • I like martin and appreciate his effort but neon knights sounds much better with Dio on vocals

  • Better with DIO's voice

  • thats from Moscow :P,,,i have that Movie :D

  • This is a sad version of Neon Knights! Tony Martin sing it way to slow. The Dio version is way faster and harder.

  • I actaully expected a better performance out of Cozy Powell...:(

  • ozzy should TRY to do this song

  • This would be very, very bad joke ...

    Sorry for english :/

  • If the singer is good by Iommi.... good enough!

  • idiot

  • i know this isnt ozzy osbourn singing, i was replying to a person that said he wouldnt be remember or something, merry new year

  • Merry new year to you as well, cheers.

  • Ozzy osbourne= Talentless hack with interesting voice

    Dio=God among mortals

  • I get tired of reading about bad singers or musicians and who is better or whatever. Maybe that musician does not fit with that type of music or band. Either way each musician brings his own talent to whatever band he or she is in. I am a iron maiden fan and when bruce left and was replaced by another singer it sounded different but it was still maiden. Ozzy sounds bad at dio songs and dio sounds bad at ozzy songs but with this singer it is still sabbath whoever sings or plays.

  • screw this guy

  • this has bad audio on it or something

  • WOW, before I even watched the video, I thought it WAS Dio. Good job dude!!!

  • I'd have to say that Tony Martin is good but he's no Ozzy and he's not a Dio. Dio's the best

  • toni iommi is god, and tony martin is a good singer but dio was better, and ozzy was the best

  • great song, would have been nice to seen it played live with sabbath

  • tony martin sucks

  • correction he dosnt suck but he isnt sabbath the only two sabbath front men are dio and ozzy

  • I agree. He gave it his own interpretations. It may not match Dio, but it's an applaudable job.

Anyway, even you might not be able to match Dio.

  • exactly

  • nobody can match dio.

    ever

    anywhere

in the whole history of existence

his voice is the meaning of being

  • Ian Gillan is also a true sabbath frontman

  • he was a sabbath frontman but he will never be a "true" sabbath frontman

  • I disagree, he did a awesome job on Born Again whether he believes it or not, and although he forgot lyrics alot, he did Black Sabbath, War Pigs, Paranoid, Supernaut and Heaven and Hell very well

  • alex you suck

  • why do i suck?

  • Lol alot of people think I suck to and I can't figure out why.

  • I mean, hey, it really ain't Sabbath, but give that singer credit-he belts those notes out pretty damn well, and being a singer myself I know how physically punishing that can be up there trying to hit THOSE particular notes-fucking exhausting! It takes a lot of breath control and understanding of pitch, phrasing and tonality to pull those songs off. Dio is a tough guy to follow, and this guy does a bang up job. Bravo!

  • Oh no, not Travis Tritt again.

  • I don't know what to say. But if it weren't for tony I probably wouldn't watch this vid. Not that it's bad it's actuely really good but this just isn't sabbath. Tony4evah

  • I never knew Graeme Souness could play the gutar!

  • I think the opening riff contains the one from Pat Benatar´s "Heartbreaker".

  • Not a bad version but this song belongs vocally to Dio no question.

  • This, of course, is not Black Sabbath, it´s Tony with Three "geezers"

  • got that right...is glenn the king of the mullet! only one sabbath

  • Iommi just looks stupid up there with three weirdos calling himself Black Sabbath. He's still good but what's he doing with these guys. SHould have killed the name whenever Geezer at least wasn't around.

  • oh i accept the tony martin era whole heartedly aswell as the glenn hughes era, both martin and hughes along with ozzy osbourne, ronnie james dio, ian gillan, freddie mercury and bon scott would probably have to be the best singers in rock/metal, ijust dont think they should have called this sabbath, and not because tony was singing, only because tony iommi is the only original member, however tony martin sounds sharp here, i wish i could belt out neon knights like him

  • Tony Martin was underrated because of the amount of vocalists that had gone before him. I prefer him to Dio, especially on the studio albums he featured on with Sabbath. I think Tyr was his best album, but he was pretty faultless on The Eternal Idol, Headless Cross and Cross Purposes as well. Forbidden was supposed to be a rougher sounding album, but I think Tony's voice suits a more polished production than that.

  • slowed down

  • i think the tony martin stuff wouldve been more accepted if the band had a different name: i read somwhere tony iommi wanted to call the band seventh star, but the label wanted him to continue to use the sabbath name...so it tarnishes the whole thing, and no way this guy is gonna step into ozzy and dio's shoes...

  • ozzy is better

  • anyone not familiar with tony martin check out headless cross videos he's friggin awesome

every bit dio's equal he did two albums w/BS

  • Tony actually did 5 albums with Sabbath and one live album. Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes, Cross Purposes live and Forbidden

  • yeah and most of them got bad reviews

  • is that TRAVIS TRITT?!??!??!?!!?

  • haha hilarious...

  • man, i really hate it when people come and complain about his way of singing without knowing a shit about music!!! they like dio more, well me too, but tony martin is still an excellent singer!!!!!

  • Yeah you're right, everyone of them sings technically better than Ozzy...

Despite this I like him !

  • huttermar - your comment is justified. Dio did exceptionally well with Black Sabbath. Commendably sso, Tony Martin also did well with Sabbath. I have all the cds with Tony on vocals. I really enjoy his style and strength vocally.

  • Tony sings common, Dio sings with magic and soul and control when he sings.

Dio sings this song 100000000 times better than Tony. Wake up!

  • The mullet's gone. As a matter of fact, all the hair is gone.

  • Singer had a mullet intervention!

  • who the hell is tony martin,i was in the army overseas in '89'guess i missed that era, sounds kinda like dio.

  • omg tony martin .. WTF .... dio is god xD

  • Good performance I think, not quite on a par with Dio yet the guy is in a different stratosphere to Ozzy in terms of sheer singing ability.

  • dio sounds better

  • Tony Martin is awesome. I just don't get the hostility towards him. The danger in singing for Black Sabbath is that people always have unreasonable expectations of what its "supposed" to sound like, because its SO important to "stay true to the original Sabbath." But that's complete bullshit. Sabbath grew and changed over the past 30 years, so its better to view each era as a different band - and it was. The only constant member is Iommi.

  • Agreed.

  • ok idiots this is 1989 not the late 90's because in the late 90's the origional sabbath was back to gether and was on their reuinion tour and besides it say the years in the video discription ohhhhh my god you guys are stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and cozy passed away

  • and cozy passed away

  • One of my fav songs by Black Sabbath

  • this is actually a decent version with Tony Martin I think he was at his best at this time..this looks like the late 90's line up that I saw..

  • Did his voice go in the early 90's a bit? I'm not putting Tony Martin down, however, I am just curious. It seems his singing ability was much stronger in the late 1980's. Why did he not sing the Eternal Idol numbers with the same vigor as he prior tours?

  • Hahaha I like to call all lineups after Born Again "Tony and the Replacements". I still love everything that people playing under the name of Black Sabbath have done.

  • Not including the reunions, of course.

  • tony martin's siging is kinda dio like in a way it's good but still theirs a hint of dio in it

  • excellent performance!

  • nice try tony this is the first time ive ever seen any fotage with you fronting the band, nobody comes close to Ronnie James Dio. the music Dio recorded with the band is the best the band did

  • ahh it may be the best but was it the most influential the reason sabbath was such a sucsess was from the ozzy years

  • Tony Martin is a great singer. This version of Neon Knights - I don't know that it's necessarily better or worse than Dio doing the vocals, but it is just different. There's more keyboards on this live verson he don't hear on the Heaven and Hell LP. Cozy Powell is one of the best drummers of all time, and Neil Murray is a fab bass player. Tony Iommi remains the heart of the Sabbath sound. I think this is a great song and this Sabbath line up performed it very well. Cheers, Tony & friends!

  • DIO BETTER
