Love the video series & how it is titled especially...easier to follow then some other video blogs that I have tried to follow. Great advice throughout & a totally different perspective as opposed to reading trail journals. Did I miss you saying why you are currently off the trail? I did see where you planned to get back on in late August & wondering if you were able to do that. If not, I'm sure you will first chance you get & you will complete it!
Yeah I'm going to try to get back on the trail now that my summer adventures are over. In the next couple of days I'm hoping to leave. Thanks for the great compliment... I've got tons of more vids but not the time to put them up just yet.
I can not wait to do the AT myself. It looks like a great time. thatnks for these videos to help out with ideas. hope you get back on the trail and finish.
Wow! Were you just so fortunate to never be rained or snowed on while sleeping? Or, were you always sleeping in a shelter? I would love to be able to get by without a tent on a thru-hike, but I can't imagine leaving it behind. Thanks for posting the vids!
I have been looking forward to seeing the video of the stove, it burns beautifully at night! Great job with the videos - I can't wait to get back out there.
Hey man. I am currently following you on this journey through these videos. I plan to do this sometime in the future. You are passing through where I live pretty much now.
I made it to northern Massachusetts at about 1600 miles and I was plenty prepared for the journey. Basically, I walked home. I may finish my thru-hike at the end of the summer but I haven't decided yet. Many more vids to come soon.
"even on the bad days its not bad." this should be on an AT t-shirt or something

what was your favorite part of the hike? what state was the most beautiful?

I can't even say that. It's like asking which part of the moon is the most beautiful when you look at it.

I've been enjoying watching your uploads. Thanks for putting the time to put them on here. Did you ever regret sending back the tent?

I never once missed it. It was basically a 2 pound pillow.

Actually, this was back in late February and early March. I'm home now and will be likely finishing my thruhike at the end of the summer.

Where did you stop? Were you as prepared as you thought you were? Or what happened?
