She is still my sweetheart 6 kids and 13 grandchildren later, still dancing to Sunny's Talk To Me. Heart to Heart, Love you Jer. Thank you and God Bless you guys.

  • Man this song brings back so many wonderful memories of back in the day. A rare oldie that will never fade away. Music to the soul

  • Officially, this was listed as Sunny & The Sunglows (Tear Drop label, No. 3014), although the same group later recorded as Sunny & The Sunliners. This was a big hit in autumn 1963, but Little Willie John hit the Top 20 with the same song five years earlier -- and the two renditions don't actually sound too much different. Little Willie John's version is also posted on YouTube.

  • Sunny & the Sunglows were an American musical group formed in 1959 in San Antonio, Texas.

The group's members were all chicanos, and their style was a blend of rhythm and blues, tejano, blues, and mariachi.[1] They first recorded in 1962 for their own label, Sunglow.

  • Thank you for posting this sweet, rare gem of a song.

  • Definitely an oldie but goody, unheard of here in England so thanks veadisteak for sending it.

    thanx.

  • Let's get a movement going on the youtube airwaves . . . to that Lewinsky guy on PBS . . the one that did the DOO WOP LEGENDS . . we need a program for LATIN LEGENDS . . . you all know we have a lot of good ones . . . and they ain't getting any younger . . . maybe someone out there on the airwaves has some clout . . knows somebody that can do something - i know we'll all support it with sales . . . it's for us and our kids . especially for us ..

  • pinche rola esta firme homes

  • this is so very beautiful...i love it

MOST OF ALL - I HEARD IT SUNG BY JIMMY EDWARD

  • my new youtube friend TejanomusicLover79 posted Jimmy Edward - Most of All for me . . i am so grateful to him . . . go check it out - there are three songs in english on youtube by Jimmy Edward right now . . I wish there were more.

  • The legendary Sunny & The Sunliners thanks for posting up such a firme rola by these guys. They are one of my favorites.

  • Sunny Ozuna sings with an old group known as "la Comparsa Universitaria" if I'm not mistaken. The song I'm thinking of is "Mi Ultima Parranda".

  • never had a name like that when they recorded this song they were Sunny and the Sunglows,, changed name to Sunliners when Sunny quit that band and made his own...Jay Johnson ..Sunliner 1964...1969

  • I guess the group changed their name to Sunny and the Sunglows. That is the one I remembered.

  • I grew up in Denver and went to the teen dances at the rec centers. The bands all covered this song. I am a Chicano this group was one the few musical role models that belonged to "us". This song brings back ummmmmemories.

  • This is the one!!

  • Hope this answers questions. This is from the Sunny Ozuna website as follows:

"Sunny started a band of a few friends; one of which helped him form the initial band itself. Between the time period of 1957 & 1958, Rudy Guerra and Sunny formed Sunny and the Sunglows which consisted of 6 teenage members; Norwood Perry (bass), Al Condy (guitar), George Strickland (drums), Rudy Guerra (saxophone), and Sunny Ozuna (vocals).

  • continued - "About 1961 the members of the band were changed a bit, and Sunny was strongly encouraged to sing songs in Spanish. After much thought and convincing, the gigs and much of the song playlist took place in Spanish. In 1963 Sunny picked up some new band mates, Jesse Villanueva's The Rockin' Vees, in Houston, Texas. Upon doing so, the band's name changed to what we know today, Sunny and the Sunliners."

  • Wow. Always loved this song and great to hear it again. But I grew up in New York City and I'm almost sure that this group was called Sunny and the Sunglows whenever the song was played in NYC in the early sixties. No, New York-hating jokes, please, but can anyone speak to the name of this group--or could it be I just got the name wrong. Thanks. (Note: this version of the song is the exact same I remember way back when, so I don't think it was another group.)

  • This is a very close remake of the 1958 original by Little Willie John. Same arrangement. The only difference is the instrumental backing on Sunny's version and the vocal backing on Little Willie John's cut. Otherwise, they're hard to tell apart.

  • arthurzdog John's voice is the biggest difference.

  • blazzgodinez68 Sunny was a genius! I would love to turn back time and watch this dude perform!

  • The Sunglows was the name mentioned on the radio in NY....They never mentioned Sunliners.

  • Changed name when Sunny quit and formed own band

  • This song is probably one of my all time favorites! It brings back memories from 1963!

  • i didnt grow up listing to these songs but i wish i did i love them!!!
