first off if you consider meshuggah to be the standards of what is good or not, you have put the bar way too high. no one, not even in europe is near the same page as them. sure, tons of bands are starting copy their style using choppy guitars and polyrhythms but does that really make them any good? they fail... now for LOG, i dont know if you just have some kind of burning hatred for groove metal, but if so you are making metal sound like the olympics...weak

Most American bands sound the same meh......dunno if that only applies for metalcore......Europe is much more diverse because so many cultures there(heard Marten say that in an interview still), thus Meshuggah and textures down the street from Gojira (who sound like they might get all american with that nasty commercialized sound :p)

jens voice is not what it used to be. he has fatigued his voice beyond repair. screaming songs like sane, and suffer in truth pay a toll on the voice box. after raretrax his voice changed. inevitable after screaming they way he did. everything before raretrax really displayed his ability well. but that jens is no more.
