The greatest Christmas movie ever, and the best re-telling of "A Christmas Carol". Thornton should have at least been nominated for an Oscar. i just saw this again for the 5th or so time; he is just brilliant, goes way beyond just swearing and being drunk, we see the real person, and his transformation due to Thurman Merman (the Tiny Tim character) is absolutely believeable. And yes, Bernie Mac and Ritter both great in their small roles. They are missed.
