@fuckystoat I think in general that the Allied POW`s were treated pretty well, as were the axis POW`s by the allies, in this particular case the British POW`s were put in especially privileged camps to hopefully get them to start believing that the Germans were a civilized people etc etc thus making them more open to the idea of defecting,that was the SS plan,though it seems the POW`s would just use the system to get more rations etc to survive the war &/or to escape to fight another day,

@fuckystoat I think in general that the Allied POW`s were treated pretty well, as were the axis POW`s by the allies, in this particular case the British POW`s were put in especially privileged camps to hopefully get them to start believing that the Germans were a civilized people etc etc thus making them more open to the idea of defecting,that was the SS plan,though it seems the POW`s would just use the system to get more rations etc to survive the war &/or to escape to fight another day,

@Napoleontas One cannot say, that just because Winston Churchill was financed by Bernard Baruch and a friend of his, and a family friend of De Rothschild dynasty, that he was a mere Jewish puppet. Winston Churchill however was definitely influenced also by British supremacy which was logically anti-German since the 1890s. WW2 in the Western European Theatre was the continuation of WW1 and Versailles.

@Napoleontas Compared to the Irish (hidden) sympathies for Germany and Irish anti-Communism among the state leadership of neutral Ireland, these 59 British Waffen-SS volunteers are a tiny minority. Of course this documentary commentator participates in demonization, every time he calls them traitors etc. etc. It is not like the Royal Air Force (RAF) and other British war crimes against Axis civilians were that heroic and non-treacherous.

What Irish (hidden) sympathies? Suspicions of the UK and the Communists does not a Nazi make. Eire was the only western democracy to face down an attempted Facist take over in the mid-30s and suppressed and executed those atempting to ally themselves with the Nazis.

These men were patriots. They fought for the true cause, a cause we are now seeing was right. No, it is not illogical. A person is capable of betraying themselves. So too a country is capable of betraying itself if they should have fought against some other enemy but by confusion and misunderstanding and propaganda, it fights the wrong person. The country is not in tune with itself, or its heart. If it had listened to its heart and not the jingoism of a few egomaniacs who turned their heads, they would not have betrayed themselves. i.e, the country betrayed itself.

As I recall -- the romans left. As a country all the influxes of other European tribes over 1000 yrs has only changed the composition of the british by 1%.
In comparison since the end of the WW2, the influx of non-europeans has changed the face of Briton so that already whites are now a minority in London and will be a minority in all of briton by 2050.
So no your country was never taken over to the extent it is being over run now.

Fact is the Germans underestimated the Brits. By forcing them to join didn`t make for loyalty. When considered out of all the many captured POW the Germans only managed to FORCE 25 of them. They survived the war on women and drink. Whereas the German POW in England stayed here after the war. Not one of those men fired a shot at the allied forces. There were 2 traitors amongst them. The rest did what most would do given the choice. Starve and freeze and be tortured,,or go drink wine and have fun?

@pammyoneto fair point,however having read and watched a lot of stuff and speaking to old veterans.i have to challenge you on the torture of pows.the vast majority of allied prisoners were treated respectfully. of course there were exceptions,as was in the allies treatment towards captured germans.

I don`t know who you have spoken to but will say that there are many veterens that would disagree with them.
Hitler by the end had conscripted children into fighting for Berlin. That is scandelous. I am sure the vast majority of Germans were unaware of exactly what he had in mind. I`m sure those German mothers that waved their son`s off to war didn`t expect what they were entering. There will always be a little bad in the best and a lilittle good in the worse of us.

You may find it a waste of time, but you should realize that it reflects poorly upon both you and any causes you espouse.
As for Rhodes, I think he was a generous benefactor and a good man. Like most humans, he was blessed with some excellent ideas and some silly ideas. His well-documented advocacy of a ruling class comprised of philosopher kings falls into the latter lot.

Hitler admired Britain, he makes this clear in both Mein Kampf and the Second Book as it is known. The English are a Germanic peoples and so we were a natural ally. It was we who declared war on Germany and not vice-versa.
The BFV, if involved with an invasion of the United Kingdom would have been fighting to see Oswald Mosley put in power with his union.
