Capital Records wanted Jack Jones to record this song as he was a much bigger star than the newly formed Ruby And The Romantics. but after much persuasion they recorded two versions. One with a bossa nova beat and one without. The bossa vova beat was the one released and the song went to number one in March 1963. Today it remains one of the best loved songs of that year They dont make them like this anymore.
