I think to have background would just spoil it. It's a short and it's nice to have a simple short that throws a little twist or revelation to you at the end.
Really good man I like it. I don't agree at all with the first poster that you need background to the character.It just isn't needed. The first part of the film is all in the atmosphere and the sound works really well. The shots from behind the audience were a good set up for when you showed them from the front later. Creepy. The twist at the end was really effective too. Reminded me of the Last Supper with all the graves n stuff.

You mentioned "revenge" in your synopsis, so we could use some more character development in your protagonist. Why she behaves the way she does? You might also "surprise us by having the woman conduct herself in a certain way so that we don't see the "act" coming? Check out a book called..."Bare Bones Course to Camera & Video. This will give you the basics of rules and guidlines for simple storytelling and camera operations (180 rule, cuts, etc.) of film making.
