Leather face is a fictional character based off the serial killer Ed Gein. Ed Gein did not have a skin disease. He did however wear human skin. The disease leather face is fake...It's Hollywood. As for Ed Gein he lived and murdered in Wisconsin not Texas he died in Wausau Wisconsin around 1984.
