  • I want to buy one, where can I go?

  • @captaindenis328 : It's all home-build. I don't think you can buy things like these.

  • build more and sell them!!! :D :D :D

  • i want kipkay to try build this for weekend project

  • 3:11 Wahou !

  • if there is a crash the machine gone to selfdestruction?

  • thats fookin AWESOME!!!!

  • I was there at Lelystad 2010 and Roland (friendly as ever) gave me the opportunity to fly his 4th gen motion cockpit. Excellent motion, simply the best home-made has to offer!

    Bedankt, Roland! Wat een inspiratiebron!

  • nice :D how to program the computer by touching the runway to do some motions?

  • @FSXPiilots: FS calculates the forces on the airplane, and moves the platform to replicate those forces. I also added some extra cues, based on the "wheels on ground" bit.

  • @Rolandvanroy thx :d could you uppload a vid where you explain everything ? ill subb you so ill notice your vids :)

  • @FSXPiilots : google "simprojects" : there you'll find all info

  • @Rolandvanroy thx :D

  • LATEST NEWS:

4TH GENERATION MOTION COCKPIT WILL BE SHOWN ON FSWEEKEND 2010!

***** NEW CONCEPT, NEW SIMPIT, NEW VISUALS, NEW CONTROLS ******

  • En zelf gemaakt :P dat is gewoon het beste simulater home made wat ik gezien hebt :)

  • @zombie19844891 Bedankt!

  • you sjould build a door to it!

  • Seems practical

  • i d like to have something like that at home xD :D ;)

  • VERY VERY cool...

  • birds?

  • i think a good idea to add is the Free Track, where you can look around on the sim , but using your head, a cap,and some LED's and a cam (look up "free track" for a compleat understanding)

  • Lol

i wonder how much it would shake if you bounced off the ground!!

  • @dominodash21 : Actually I have tried trackIR in the motion cockpit. But it has a side effect: When the cockpit moves (ie due to turbulence) your head will move as well, and this creates an unwanted scenery view movement. Also when moving your head to look at the panel, the scenery will move as well. I did not like it im my setup.

  • 03:12 lmaoo

  • where to buy?

  • @w333silke Buy? No idea. Maybe you can find someone crazy who wants to build one for you......

  • The cockpit itself needs some work, but the motion seems spot on. Good work. Would love to see something like this for a full size airliner sim application.

  • Nice work !

  • Great work !!

  • awesome

  • whats that thing called that the maker used to expand the screen size? Thanks

  • It's called a fresnel lens. It is basically a large magnifying glass like the ones used as TV magnifiers. Mine came from an old rear projection TV

  • Thanks! I gotta get one of these!

  • One more thing, how much does the fresnel lens you bought cost?

  • I did not buy it, I found it on the junkyard.

Check my website "visuals" pages for info where to buy fresnel lenses.

  • Oh I see. Well I spent the whole day out looking for one of these things but couldnt manage to find out. I will check out your website though. THanks

  • You sir, are an inspiration.

Thank you for the time and effort you give freely, for us all to learn from.

  • thats sweet!

  • Thats fantatsic! - Are your diagrams available for download/purchase? - Cheers. Mark

  • All info in on my website. Just google "simprojects" and you'll find it. No charge, all plans are for free.

  • @Rolandvanroy why didnt you guys use fsx and more high end computer. but nice sim anyways, its sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • Zo enorm gaaf! :P

  • would this become public availble? its small so it fits a room if this costs around 2000 euros I'd pay for it.

  • Making this rig commercially would be tricky. It's a complicated system, and could give safety hazard when operated incorrectly. The market is too small for mass production. Best solution is to make the plans available for other home-builders., and this is what I've tried to do via my website. It may not be within everybody's reach, but there are a few builders in action right now trying to make something similar. All it takes is time and determination.

  • same here

  • do they do any larger ones, for home 737's etc?

  • VET
