  • What a talented band and while you boys fight over who wrote it, lets not forget why we are here to listen to a beautiful version of a great song.

  • @whistlelips I second the motion!

  • Great version, gorgeous girl and Alan Rickman on guitar, bravo!

  • @natschaff Alan Rickman....? :-)

  • Great classic song and guitar playing brill! Brings back memories..

  • That's pretty!!!

  • einfach wundervoll.....

  • Wonderful interpretation

  • Jeff Beck with his Group played this music too.

  • legend has it that .......

GREENSLEEVE is authored by J. S. Bach.

to be a popular music .... he did not recorded in its collection.

greatest genius of this music .... classical music only signed.

    but composed other popular music!

Henry VIII, wrote the letter and gave only the name ... GREENSLEEVE.

to declare all his immense love, Anne Boleyn.

and we clearly understood the poetry!

sorry .... I am Brazilian and my Englis is horrible.

  • @MrGoldsilva your english might not be the best ( just like mine) but you're right :D

  • ANYA!

  • HAHA

  • ROCK AWAY!!! GreenSleeves!!!!!

  • greensleeves the rock way

  • you should probably just enjoy this marvelous version and let scholarly debates for another time

  • poor wald - you obviously only know Greensleeves was mentioned a couple times in Shakespeare's plays primarily in The Merry wives of Windsor - that does not however tell us origin of the melody or when the lyrics were attached - please do more homework - I'm sure we all appreciate your eagerness to define the origin of such a wonderful piece of music - but sometimes we must follow the actual trail not the Red Herring.....

  • Don't tell this fuckin' bullshit any more! Green sleeves - John Dowland, 17th century , will shakespeare

  • @waldemardziwniel

SEE HOW MUCH YOU WROTE .... stupidity!!!.

HENRY VIII ... WROTE A LETTER IN THE XV CENTURY!

AND YOU SAY THAT THE MUSIC IS John Dowland, CENTURY 17???

FIRST TIME THAT THE LETTER DID BEFORE THE MUSIC ..... KKKKK

  • ein Blonder Engel!!!

  • yes the melody is much older - and the assertion that Henry the Vlll wrote the lyrics has never been documented so its a very romantic notion at best - still - this song has captured the hearts of people for centuries and rightly so - many versions exists but this is the best 'rocker' presentation hands down

  • Greensleeves as a melody is much older. People may know the tune under the title "What Child is This" from Christmas carols, but the melody is soo soo much older.

  • king henry had nothing to do with song thats a common misunderstanding

  • це ж кому могла не сподобатися ця пісня???

    amazing

  • King Henry Vlll would have been proud.

  • @destinyokful the lyrics were written by Henry VIII; the tune itself is older.

  • @ZenSunni2000 Right, much much older. It was a Bardic tune for the Mid-Summer Festival, called "Dalen Gwyr," meaning "Green Leaves."

  • This song wrote by King Henry VIII (1491-1547) over 400 years ago.Thank you

  • @destinyokful Greensleeves is much older than that

  • @destinyokful it was not written by any king sucker

  • Davvero ottimo..!!

  • Give Ritchie a shoe box and a rubber band and step back!

  • @Rhetoryk - but would he be Henry VIII enough to have Candice beheaded?
