@DellXP1000 I'll have to correct what I said earlier. It's actually only the middle led that turned red, and it stays red, no blinking. The book gives me no detailes, just to send it to Microsoft. But I've sent it to a local technician, It's cheaper, in case he'll handle the job, he said it's the first one with this kind of problem. In case he doesn't repair it I'll just have to enjoy thowing it from my 8th floor balcony.

Now I'll have to buy a new one if the guy doesn't repair it. And what's even stupider is that he bought the console an year ago and only sterted using it about half an year ago, so it worked for half a year. Now that would have been a great thing if my idiot colleg woldn't have opened the box a while ago.

@mw2master983 This is how it works. One red light means error code. Two red lights mean overheating. Three red lights mean hardware failure. Four red lights mean, there's something wrong with the cables plugged on back of the 360. With the Slim, If the power button glows red that means error code.

Here is some tips: Xbox360 should be lying down. Back vents have alot of space, if u feel the rrod is comin soon, put a fan and blow it on the side. i know someone who got the rrod and when they got it back from microsoft, they did this. after 3 years...NOT ONE PROBLEM

Always remember to turn your Xbox off after using. Xbox as airflow issues which causes over heating. It's also important to make sure air gets underneath the unit so your circuit board doesn't bend causing a solder connection to break .

Dude, 2 Red Rings means it's got a loose AV cable so take out the cables, stretch them out and put them back in and try turning the 360 on again.

either that ... or it's overheated so keep it in a cool area.

what you do is call microsoft and ask for a new console. if you are lucky and are talking to a nice person they will send you one for free. its just a glitch in the programming that eventually wears out the hard drive.

Chance of getting RROD on 360 is extremely low now. I've had mine for a year, i play it just about daily, and still works perfectly.

I'd say buy a new 360 or have microsoft repair yours, because overall you'd be losing a TON of money if you sold your stuff to get a ps3.
