  • I like how the guy at the end was singing the victory theme from ff when the protesters were asked to leave xD

  • @kairi51790 Made me LoL

  • OMG LOL I could totally see a Hidan walk up to them and be all like "CONVERT TO WAYS OF JASHIN BITCHES!" LOL

  • @AxelDemyxFanGirl That would be funny LOL

  • @LanMoore LOL IKR?! >8D I would have X3

  • Is this Westboro Baptist Church?

  • @Mrkatan630 No, they're a different group.

  • @LanMoore

Ohh, another group of cooky nut jobs then. :l

  • I was thinking when Fanime first started did the protester came to the event?

  • @Kisama100 Fanime started over 10 years ago

  • Do yo ever wake up one day and just be like....."Hmmmm' instead of doing something outrageously important today im just gonna go get these premade signs and protest at a local convention so everybody hates us!!!"

  • @emo2b Some times... but it's usually a Star Trek Convention with Star Wars signs

  • @LanMoore lol

  • I'd say that this is clear evidence that Christianity is getting desperate. They realize that they are quickly losing credibility, so they need to troll anything that goes against their religion in order to try and gain support (which they never get).

  • 1:07

woah, is that guy COSPLAYING as Jesus?!?!

  • @pikapower96 Yes, he is the awesome Fanime Jesus

  • "Jesus hates sin"

    ok, so what

does dressing up as a character in an anime and walking around an event, celebrating your love for anime count as a sin??

man, i am really annoyed these people, i understand that you want to convert people, but please, don't kill other peoples' fun, i think THAT is a sin. Making people unhappy...

please don't show up at schools, or happy events like these....

    >8(

  • @pikapower96 I feel you, but still they will continue to come until either laws don't allow them to come or the convention no longer exists.

  • @LanMoore

    hmmm...... 8(

but, seeing this makes me sad,

i wonder how they would feel if a bunch of Buddist or some other big religion people cam outside their church and protested.......i bet, THAT will spark some violence......

  • Those people are not Christians.

  • @SirenaBlack what do you mean?

  • @SirenaBlack are they like Jehovah's witness if I'm wrong??

  • @Kisama100 O.o Umm they're Christians

  • why are they protesting a anime convention? God...(o.O xDD)

  • Who knows, they gave reasons but they were all over the place.

  • all the things they could protest, they protest a frickin anime convention? -__-'

  • They will protest any thing.

  • I seriously wish I could go to this con, because this is hilarious. But as funny as it is to see the trolls rip these guys apart, I think Fanime should do something to discourage it.

Because all it's doing is giving them the attention they want and the prerogative to come back next year with more people. Ignore them and they'll go away.

Or better yet rope off the area they're in and put up some "don't feed the Trolls" signs and a few guards.

Oh, and that last comment was @GeronKizan btw.

  • Oh ok, well I'm still planning a road trip with some friend to the next Fanime. Honestly it's fun some times talking to them and having every one join together to fight against a common cause. The fanime people are trying in some ways to stop it though, they really ask us not to antagonize them or any thing.

  • Luck you. I can't afford to go by myself, and my friends won't come because of the protesters.

I love seeing otaku fight together and I'm rooting you guys on; it's just that I'd hate to see them come back. Or to another con. Or inspire other groups to do it.

I feel so bad for the staff that has to deal with this. I've worked on a con staff before, and it's hard enough to get the otaku to behave at a tiny con like ours. It must be a nightmare managing a big con and dealing with a protest group

  • Well if I could I would take you mew *Hugs* But remember there is always next year.

  • I am surprised the cops did not tell them to go away

  • They might have later on, not sure what the cops told them.

  • @animegirl677 They can't the protesters have a right to protest as long as it doesnt get violent

  • Do Anime fans rush into churches protesting the christians and shoving our opinions down their throat. NO! So why are christians always crashing these events tryin to force their opinions onto us! If we want to hear about Jesus we'll find you in your churches thank you very much.

  • Because they want to "Save our souls" and we are "Sinners." That we live in fantasy and that's a sin, pretending to be characters and dressing up like them is a sin. That's some of the reasons according to them. The year before that they said the reason they were because they went where people were. That year there was only 2 of them, this year they had 6 or more people.

  • Imagine this at SGC....

  • didn't go, sad. had to work.

  • Egads, I remember this. *sighs* It makes me sad to see people acting like this.

But you wanna know something? Now I literally feel physically ill when seeing anything involving religion. Ugh, I'm pathetic...

  • which part maks you sad, the way the christians protest us or the way we striked back?

  • Ah, sorry for my lack of clarity. :) The Christians protesting.

  • Whats with the audio?

  • What do you mean?

  • Just a few more minutes til the christians flag this video as "inappropriate"

  • O.O I didn't think of that! *runs away*

  • Are they seriously protesting an anime convention? WHAT? Is this particular convention lude or something? Jeez some Christians just go overboard.

  • I'm sure they've never even watched anime or attended the convention or any thing, they just decided to start judging.

  • Please don't think all right-wing Pro-christianity people are like this. I'm the most right-winger bible thrower of them all and I loveeeeeeee to cosplay.

Maybe I should go next year and the logic will melt their faces.

  • trust me, if a cosplayer dressing up as Jesus doesn't do it, you probably won't. Stop forcing religion on people! It's not nice ... *hides in corner*

  • Extremists listen to logic? Surely you jest!

But seriously, I don't think it'll help hun.

There were several people whom where doing their best to try and argue logically with these people, but they wouldn't even acknowledge the questions or arguements. Even if the attendees got a word in, the protesters just said "oh your wrong" and went back to screaming.

    Ugh, some people huh?

  • Well we can't help but try mew.

  • First Prop 8, and now this! Why don't you bunch of Christian Fascist butt out and leave our beloved Fanime alone!

  • They just don't like the idea of "fun" it's an evil thing to them I guess, just like "equal rights", it could destroy every thing.

  • *sigh*...yeah, I despised them. I felt outrage, shaken and angry where they violated our gathering every year. They'll never give up!

  • I just like anti protesting them. I'm thinking up plans for next year.

  • Same goes for me, LanMoore-san...it's payback time next year!!!

So are u goin to Sac Anime on August? And enjoy a happy nice weekend^_^

  • I don't live in California, I was born in San Jose but I had to move when I was 8 years old.
