  • No classic, but worth it for the FX. Even considering the low budget, the stuff is absolutely top notch.

  • Great movie....I remember in the early '90s, Vincent Guastini (creature FX) and Glenn Takakjian (director/writer) having a dispute in the pages of Fango. Apparently, neither one of them liked working with the other very much. Anyway, this one was a rare gem among all the dreck.

  • This.... this movie scared the ever loving SHIT outa me when I was 10! Then again, I probably shouldn't have been watching it when I was 10 ;)

  • spa 00.00

  • chuta... los subtitulos no estan, y sin embargo yo la he visto subtitulada o en latino... no recuerdo, habra que ripiar un vhs para extraer la banda sonora en latino. pero muchas gracias, me costó mucho encontrarla.

gosh ... Subtitles are not, yet I've seen subtitled or latino ... I remember, we will have a vhs fill with rubble to extract the soundtrack in Latin. but thank you very much, I had a hard time finding it.

  • The best movie from my childhood

  • This o.k for a B movie i'll have to check this out.

  • @0TheZeroBoy0 looks

  • The special effects look decent, but it's so so SO different from "The Deadly Spawn". It's no wonder they changed the title, because this is too far-gone to be a sequel.

  • @GlitterySpleen

the idea is that the dna of the aliens from thr deadly spawn where used in the experiments u see in this film and they never actualy state where they got the material from for the experments for this film so it really makes sense

  • I LOVE THIS MOVE !!!

  • This is actually the unofficial sequel to 'The Deadly Spawn', which was a damn good film. I look forward to seeing this:D

  • the guy who becomes a monster is a lot like Harry Potter, but adult... xD

  • I just watched this film and let me be the first to say- Do not waste your money on this pile of shit, honest to god it has to be the worst film in the history of bad films. This trailer is all it has goin for it .

  • This is not the worst movie in the history of bad films. This is nowhere near that. I don't care that you have no basis to, but seriously... trust me on this one.

  • But' you're not denying it's pretty bad come on admit it lol

  • It's from 1990.

  • Movies suck big time in the 80s~

  • I really really want to see this movie! Do you know where i can find it online?

  • the little frog monster is so funny

  • can someone tell me where i might be able to find and watch this film online?

  • That movie was such a piece of shit that it's good ...

I bought it in VHS a while ago and I laughed a lot .

  • YOure not wrong there i downloaded and was gonna burn it to disc with hopes that this trailer meant it was gonna be a good a monster film but, .....my god lmao

  • Please tell me what IMAO is? For the life of me, I see it a lot, and just can't figure it out.

  • Looks pretty good wish I got to see it, maybe one day, I hate todays FX

  • nice b movie

  • Full of cool creature EFX including some well done Stop Motion. I suppose I can't be counted as objective in my opinion of this film, having worked on it for a very long shoot but, I'll still insist that it's a cool film, should have gotten a wider release and totally worth purchasing on DVD.

Trivia- it is the unofficial sequel to 'The Deadly Spawn'. I still have my original copy of the script with the title, 'The Deadly Spawn 2: Metamorphosis' on the cover.

  • How different was the script from the finished film? Any direct references to the first Deadly Spawn.

  • One BIG difference to the original script was that the lead actress left the shoot prior to the films completion and needed to be killed off! Some creature effects that didn't come out well never made it into the final cut.

There were no direct references to the original Spawn film, I wish there were but, I didn't write the script. I certainly would have made it more of a direct sequel. I designed the creatures in this film and my first design looked like the original only with big legs.

  • Was this shot in New Jersey?

  • Yep all in Jersey City. Fortunately for me because I had to spend many late nights at the studio and by some strange coincidence, the producer just happened to pick a warehouse that was in walking distance of my house! I'm sure I'll never get THAT lucky again.

  • Yes, actually I was very lucky because the studio where it was shot was only walking distance from where I lived at the time. It was just a big empty warehouse used for storage that was converted into a studio space just for this film.

  • even thou Spawn might have been better, this movie was pretty neat, any plans to make another one? That would be great.

  • @animatorIsomer No doubt it's worth purchasing. The alien is one of the best looking aliens of that time since the original Deadly Spawn.

  • good movie

  • I had a huge crush on that girl Tara Leigh. I wish she had been in more horror movies.

  • The last horror movie she had played in was Masters of Horror.

  • I couldn't even spot her in that. I THINK she was the screaming woman on the plane who gets her neck broken, but I can't be too sure.

  • it was to my understanding that she played the wife in that movie...
