Oh and I've heard that it get's humid there in the summer! I don't know if you've been to Florida, but is it Florida humid or more humid than even that? I live in the great sunshine state and it can get pretty nasty in the summer and early fall ^_^
I lived in GA for a while. It is about equivalent to GA humidity and even Louisiana humidity. I've only visited Florida so I can't compare. The deal which humidity here is that the insulation and air systems in houses are not close to what they are in the US. There is no central cooling system in houses or most buildings. This makes it feel much hotter. I was fine though with the humidity most days whereas my friend from Cali (no humidity) couldn't breathe. I think you should be fine though ^_^

My recommendable 100 yen shops are DAISO (a largest 100 yen chain store in Japan) and Seria...
Those are also located here and there in Yokohama city.
