Mark Danner is so boring... his arguments are so cliche. His argument are so static he has to pigeon-hole Hitchens arguments to fit his own reply. As if Hitchens said Hussein was behind the attack. Does he not understand what Hitchens is saying? How did he get a reputation, or warrant a place on a stage?
By Hitchen's analysis we would have to raize about a score of governments in the world. There is a reason why threats need to ripen to imminent danger before we attack.
You know aaron Mcgruder once made a real good statement on citizens of America debating about the Iraq war. Why bother? We have no say in what goes on. Im not saying dont have an opinion. Im saying why get so serious about it. All I worry about is the troops getting home safely. But all in all so far a pretty solid debate on both sides here.
exactly, and all are undoubtedly much less safe since that moronic administration has been in office trampling all over the constitution and basically performing a witch hunt for "terrorists" worldwide.
the obviousness of this failed policy and logic is that they are gearing(legislatively and actually) to supress discent in america at the end of a gun barrel which should make even hitchens wake up to the dangers of religion in american policy and rightly fight back for liberty and justice.
it's rather pathetic that you so blindly follow Hitchen's and cling on to every word of his (even when it's not a debate on religion) just because he is an Atheist like you.
It's one thing to be an Atheist (nothing against Atheism) but another to be a blind Hitchen's Kool Aid drinker.

You really are one PISSED off Atheist aren't you.
Obviously what he says about religion is comforting to you since you follow his every word, even things such as his HAWKISH stance on the war in Iraq.
If he came out tomorrow that he is gay and has a debate for gay marriage against someone who is against it...would you turn queer too and go along in his fine intellectual point in favor of gay marriage. Or are you already homo? Maybe.
Go back to the playground boy; this is adult territory. And you realize that noting you've said makes sense? Just because I agree with a public speaker doesn't make me a puppet. What does that even mean in this context? I held the same views long before I'd heard of Christopher Hitchens.
Sure you did. Your handle Pissedoffatheist makes it hard to believe and makes you less credible.
And I haven't seen you make any credible statements in here. I simply noted a ridiculous handle called P.O.Atheist eating up what his intellectual superior Hitchens is telling him about the war and I called you out on it.
Nothing more.....now i'm getting bored with you. Good Riddance.
I just want to quote myself: "Has Bush made us safer?" Why is it always us? There are people living outside the United States! Are THEY safer? In case any of you got the wrong impression (I was worried when I got 3 thumbs up) I believe that killing people who would kill us HAS made people outside the US safer. I just wish Americans would stop talking about "us, us, us" when it comes to the issue of global security and supporting Western civilization from savages who would destroy it.

Let me start by saying, go fuck yourself.
It's not america's duty to supply security and justice for the entire world dimwitted twat. This is exactly the problem, you think that america needs to be the police of the world because you are ignorant and childish. you don't understand that america has problems beyond geopolitical warfare and waring states.
the constitution is more important than everyone's lives outside of the US. I mean that literally. like i said, it's being ripped apart now.
Thats a seperate conversation. In what way is that a point of any meaning or significance.
Its like saying 'well of course America does have people living in poverty, but so does Africa so lets not focus on America.' Your statement oozes of liberal idiocy.
I'm not a liberal sir, and comparing widespread disease, poverty, misery and despair in Africa to the minority of people who can't (or don't want to) climb the social ladder is America is an example of liberal idiocy. And BTW what comment did I make that oozes with (or of) liberal idiocy?
Thank you for posting this, rabidbear8.

As usual, but possibly even more brilliant than usual, Hitch delivers an absolute masterpiece. What a mind, what an orator.
Get well, Hitch. We need you.

Danner has some good points but god he sucks at debate

If Socrates were to argue with Hitch he would suck by comparison! Hitchens ate this little twerp alive; he always does.
ThePissedOffAtheist 3 years ago
I actually think Socrates would destroy Hitchens
derner22 3 years ago
@derner22 I sincerely doubt it; Socrates, at least as portrayed in the accounts of his contemporaries, was a relatively soft-spoken individual.

You do realize there's a space in between converto, mouth breather? And didn't I tell you and your breaking voice to fuck off back to the playground?
