lol damn dude your funny i don't have verizon or at&t but people tell me verizon isn't any good idk if its true but thats what i'm hering :) i have T-MOBILE & i love them !!!!!!!!!!!!
DUDE NO OFFENCE UR DUMB I have verizon YOU CANNONT DO THIS U HAD THE PAGE PRELOADED the only way to talk on the phone and browse the web with verizon is if ur connected to wifi
@oliverbeing: LMAOOOOOO, oh yes,how dare I. I should be so ashamed- STFU you idiot. As defensive as you are of AT&Flop you MUST be one of their dumbass employees that Apple won't even let NEAR their iPhone. Side note, the iPhone is amazing, I immediately was over ATT network and the fact that their reps can't even help with the iPhone.....that says a lot in itself. Back to the point, does ATT know you come out to sites like this to TRY and defend them? And you bash competitors, is that accepted?
HOW COME YOU DIDNT SEARCH ANYTHING YOU ASS!!!! CUZ OF COURSE ANDROID'S HOME PAGE IN THE BROWSER IS PRELOADED YOU STUPID FUCK!!! VERIZON DOES NOT HAVE TALK AND WEB CUZ THEY ARE A CDMA NETWORK AND THEIR DATA RUNS THROUGH THE SAME ANTENNAS AS THE VOICE!!!
HONESTLY PEOPLE, if you need to be talking on your cell phone and surfing the web you need to disconnect!!! To me it sounded like AT&T needed to find something (anything) quick to combat with the "Map for that" commercials....and like every other service that comes from AT&T, it flopped.
@SchweetDude As a former AT&T customer I miss the fact that I could talk and receive bbms in my blackberry or simply search for something to prove stupid ppl wrong while on the phone, when you dont have it you dont miss it, but once you are used to it you can't live without it! trust me, AT&Ts EDGE(2G) is the same speed as verizons 3G, if not look at the VZ 3G phones that AT&T has and notice they run on EDGE
@SchweetDude The AT&T 3G is much faster and more advanced, but since is too hard to put into a 30 sec commercial which ignorant ppl wouldnt understand anyways AT&T decided not to try explaining this.
This guy is a liar. Yes i'm calling him a liar. He knows that the Droid can't talk and surf at the same time unless your on wifi. I swear to god on everything I went to a verizon wireless store in my town and the MANAGER SAID THAT YOU CAN ONLY DO THAT ON WIFI. After he said that he said that AT&T is the only one that does that but they drop calls...
obviously u do not have a droid!!! i have a droid and i can be on a call and put it on speaker and pull up google maps and be getting driving directions while still connected on a call and no im not on wifi cause wen i do this im drivin on my car so obviously i cant be connected to wi-fi
As I imagine you probably already had this question a bunch, but I am going to ask again. Why did you only pull up the browser page and not actually search Google??
@Msoverthere Well, I don't particularly have great coverage in my basement and its the only computer we have with a fast enough connection to upload that video. So I decided to film it there. If you are using wifi, you can multitask with anything you want.
@Postsforlife814 I really think you need to find something better to do other than to waste time answering comments that you had previously answered, and obviously deleted. By the way... WHY would you use the Marines "hooyah" statement, while pretending to be a Marine and wearing a Navy shirt??? Never happen in real life. And no, I would never insult a real service member.
@rickmckee Let us clear some things up right now. The Marines use "Hooah" while everyone in the Navy and Corps knows for a fact, that during Navy SEAL Training (BUD/s) the SEAL candidates are required to use "Hooyah" as their method of morale. They are taught this by their UDT instructors who apparently learned it in their BUD/s class as well. Don't try to go and insult me or catch me in a misnomer because sir I can certainly prove these facts as true. Go watch any navy seal documentary.
@rickmckee And as for you saying you'd never insult a true service member, I've been in the Navy for 16 months and I can sure as hell guarantee those facts as true as well sir. And it's not just a Navy shirt, it's a special ops shirt, I'm in their EOD program. Pretending to be a marine? You're joking right? Hooyah is reserved for the seals, look it up.
i don't believe it. What took so long for it to ring out the first time. Secondly, apparently the droid can use web and voice at the same time but it has to have a wifi connection
All Android phones have the ability to make calls while browsing the web, even without wifi connection. As a matter of fact, Android has a better implimentation of this feature than iPhone.
iPhone, as of today, does not have true multitasking, only limited. While it can browse the web and make calls at the same time, it can't run other concurrent apps at the same time. The Android OS supports multitasking, allowing any number of apps to run concurrently. This includes calls and browsing.
While I would like to agree with you because I'm a Droid owner, you are wrong. It's not the Droids fault, or any Android phones fault. It depends what carrier the phone is on. While all Android phones can multitask, the CDMA network of Verizon, doesn't allow the Droid to be on a call and on the internet at the same time.
@Zbreter If you're using wifi you can do both at the same time, and most places nowadays have wifi and my town has it everywhere for free. So i'd have to disagree, you're wrong sir
@Postsforlife814 Yeah, the Droid can be on the internet and a call at the same, if you're on wifi. That doesn't change the fact that the network doesn't allow it without wifi.
What an idiot u just opened an app u didnt even open another website u just showed google how about while on the call open up apple from that google webpage cant happen cause the technology sucks ass GSM is used in 90 percent of all the countries while CDMA is getting extinct and that thing u did with the pull down oh snap the iphone actually came out with that on the 2G very original LOL what a retard
You're taking this too personally! Stop being so sensitive! I can't believe you're having a temper tantrum over a stupid cell phone! Get over it, will ya?! Gee Wiz! Life is too short!
Whining? Haha, just getting the facts out there frankie, immature? Well at least no videos I post have man-loving mexican singers in them, thats saying a lot about my character. You messed your spacing up too, jackass
Um I am going to have to side with the guy in the video. I own the droid for verizon and I infact can be on a call, place that call on speaker, then back out of the phone menu and select "Browser" and type in any address I want using the keyboard on the phone and it works just fine!
Absolutely, I use the maps app and the browser all the time when I'm on the phone, if i'm asking someone for directions I just pull up my browser, google search the address, then select navigate. And if someone needs to know something like movie times or show times, I just go on google and search for those things.
Verizon cant do that because verizon on CDMA network so next time get fact rights. Only SIM(GSM) network can do that which means only AT&t can do that.
lol Dude if you have the facts Verizon cant do that due to its CDMA network(without sim card network). Only GSM can talk and internet/app at same time
Very funny. But u showed a caches version of the page. Meanin u opened it before the call. Then u exited the browser and called and went back and opened the app showing the already opened page
@Postsforlife814 yea k but thats not actually surfing the web and talking on the phone at the same time. ur able to talk on the phone and OPEN THE WEB BROWSER APP, but your not surfing the web.
