  • Well, thanks for the encouragement! I got through the interviews easy, and you were right, they were a lot less daunting than i had in mind. I should be finding out what country they have assigned me in a few weeks, my number one preference was a country in Europe though. I was also wondering how you delt with the homesickness, and if you had been away from home without family for a period of time before you left? Sorry to pester you, i'm a bit of a worry wart.

  • This looks so great! I am applying for an exchange for 2012, my rotary district interview is tomorrow and i am i little unsure about how everything works. I'm having doubts wether i should go or not, how did you cope being away from home so long?

  • @thinnerthewinner That is great :) The interviews while maybe a little intimidating are quite easy if you are just yourself and are nice and they will see that you are a good candidate. ( also , you should know a little about the history of rotary ie: Founder , year, place, and what not.) And, in your new country, you will make new friends, have new experiences, a great host family that will help you , a rotary club full of nice people who will also do alot for you :) you wont regret it :)
