It's way too early to call Evan Turner a bust. At Ohio State he played with the ball in hands a lot. He is still in the process of learning ot play off the ball in the NBA. Plus the 76ers are trying to make the playoffs this year, so Doug Collins is playing to win games and not necessarily playing for draft position. So that also effects who starts games and how many minutes he gives to Evan. It's only been a half of season, let's see how much progress he makes between now and April.

For his height he has great speed and athleticism but if he doesn't work on his outside shot he is doomed in the NBA. There just isn't room for him to make the plays he does from 5 feet and in unless its a fast break. The trade for Hawes (outside shooting Center/passer) was to get him more space. If Collins can get him to develop an outside game to compliment his court vision he's a solid 15 point, 5 reb, 5 ast player. He'll need the ball in his hands too much to get near 20 pts/game.

Sure he's 6'7" gets 9 boards in college, can't see that in the NBA. 6'7" plays point, but 4 to's a game in college=no PG in the NBA. Lack of superior athletic ability and not an excellent shooter, what makes him a #2 pick? Maybe a Paul Pierce/Roy? Explain.
If you check Turners stats, he's making some improvment. During his first year with the bucks he averaged more To's than assists. As the years progressed so did his skills.
Kevin Love is 6'9 and he grabs more rebounds in the NBA than he did in college. Rebounding is about effort. Hence Rondo. Turner may not be the best rebounder, but he goes for the rebound, unlike some players.
Jim Jackson wasn't really a bust. He stats were very similar to those he put up in Ohio.

@neeks6 You Don't need to be a freak athlete to be an exceptional player. You don't have to be the tallest to be the best basketball player. To take from Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers, you just need enough opportunities to succeed. Larry Bird didn't need to be the fastest or the most athletic guy, but he is without a doubt one of the best players ever. Evan Turner is amazing and will continue to improve.

@Secrectus bird's shooting and other aspects of his game more than made up for his lack of athleticism, for turner, i don't really see any part of his game that really excels.

@TheBoiFlip Hmm..maybe his handles? From what I have seen on TV and Youtube, he has great control. Maybe you're right, but I feel that he will probably average 20-5-5 in his rookie year. We'll have to see.

brandon roy looks slow too but he can play. also the wolves would be idiots to make that trade with sixers. taking on brands contract is going to be franchise suicide. david khan shouldve just taken rubio + curry or even flynn + curry like everyone was hoping he would do last year. they couldve been an exciting up and coming team but he f'ed it up. sixers should just take evans and hope brand steps it up. maybe with a new coach and system he'll be more effective.

Evan Turner seems slow compared to Wall, but I wasnt a huge college fan this season. Seems like Turner is just slow based on highlights. I never watched games this year, but I did watch Wall a couple times and he seemed to not have a shot like turner does in highlights. Nice vid

turner is a sixer.... the t-wolves would have to trade #4 and like rubio or jefferson. ed stefanski (sixers gm) said that it would have to take a mind blowing offer for them to trade down. trading the #4 and #16 wouldnt be mind blowing. this isnt the nfl where the drafts are deep because there are more players on the field. plus there are really only 2 superstars in the draft (Wall and turner). so why trade evan turner for cousins who people are not high on and a bench player? turner is a sixer.
