the second picture is actually Alan McNish at Donnington Park in 1988, a fan was killed from that and it isn't actually an F1 crash. F3000 I think although stand to be corrected.

You are indeed correct. It was an F3000 race, but i can't remember the name of the other driver involved. The spectator was struck by the engine and gearbox assembly after it seperated from the monocoque. I wasn't at Donnington that day, but i've seen the video and it doesn't make nice viewing

now dont get pissy with me because F1 is my favorite sports league in the world, but saying piloting an indy car at excess of 230 mph takes no skill is just narrow minded, especially when they are going 3 wide. you dont have to watch it, but saying irl drivers have no skill is like saying a college football player has no skill. they may not be in the top league, but they could still beat 99% of people at the sport.
