I think a few of you are missing the point of this. First off, it was a video to show people who only had heard about console games what we were actually doing. And secondly, the message was not that you need an expensive wheel to use a racing sim, but that OVER TIME the cheaper wheel wear out IF you run three or four times a week in long one to two hour races...
If aren't doing that you will never need a better wheel, and for some people even the cheaper wheels don't wear out, but that tends to be the exception rather than the rule. Thirdly, this was done several years ago. Perhaps the equipment available today is better than it was.
you dont need a $1,000 wheel. its not the wheel, its the driver. i have a logitech momo and a logitech wingman and ive been using it for years racing NR2003 and i can still win races.
Ok... First off, Nascar? I think it would tend to wear out the left side of my wheel rather than wear it out all together. And to be honest, I'm not going to sit at my computer for hours and hours only turning left. I've had no problems thusfar with my logitech Driving Force Pro. It's a good wheel and doesn't cost 700 dollars
iRacing is better

Eh, I'm still practicing a little bit more offline before I get into the online races... nice video!

Good thing to do. More people really should do the same.

And you probably suck at online racing, my consumer wheel wore out fast, and his speech isn't slurred you need to fix your sound card.
adame3383 5 years ago
1. your speech is slured like danny devito on The View.
2. you DONT NEED a $1,000 wheel. GTFO. consumer wheels are FINE. good day sir.

That was a whole lot of information for just two minutes. I enjoyed it. It really showed the dedication to "simulate" rather than just play a game.
