  • The music originates from an Amiga 500 demo called Voyage by Razor 1911.

It's Impressive to have such a fast 3D routine running at the same time as software module playback. (Yes even the STe has to do it in software)

  • @MrAhle2 No, the STE has an YM2149 AND an second chip with DMA sound, 8bit and up to 50kHz.

  • @karadok666

But, that doesn't change the fact that the STe has to do module playback in software.

For module playback in hardware the following must be true.

    - Sound hardware must have at least 4 independent sample channels

    - Each channel must be able to play at an arbitrary sample frequency

    - Each channel must be able to set the amplitude independantly

    - Each channel must be able to play from different positions in RAM

If ANY of the above isn't met, software rendering is the only option.

  • Nice screen, really nice music!

  • @MiggyRGB Yes!!!!!! Its real amazing!!!!

  • @MiggyRGB the music is available in fading-twilight at atari dot org
