We have evidence for how old the earth is...Creationists have no evidence for determining a scientific age of the earth (Kent Hovind tried, but this felon's pseudoscience has been found to be beyond dishonest). It doesn't get "smaller" it also begins to "lose" the bottom" . This is what accounts for the observed curve.

To prove the world is a sphere is actually even much simpler than that, and I tried to explain that if you look to the horizon for any large feature (mountain, skyscrapers, etc) by using their ratios of perceived height to actual, you will come to discover that a portion of their 'base' is not visible from far away due to the very fact that the Earth is curved.

Each of you has his/her own "perspective" about what the bible really means and it comes down to the fact that you are ashamed of your own religion and its' bullshit so you make stuff up. We have evidence for how old the earth is...Creationists have no evidence for determining a scientific age of the earth (Kent Hovind tried, but this felon's pseudoscience has been found to be beyond dishonest). So why do we believe the earth is millions of years old? Because, in the words of Chrstopher Hitchens "That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence."

We have evidence for what we know, which is contrary to what you know - without evidence. I advise you to do some research on Biology and our observations of speciation, abiogenesis, and Uranium-lead radiometric dating. If you were honest with yourself, and had any true knowledge on these subjects you would soon be corrected by your impractical statements. But of-course, we know most religious zealots follow only their minds and passions and never the truth centered in reality.
