  • The music of this song sounds like something out of Portal 2 soundtrack.

  • Is this the official video? If so how come Metric's official channel hasn't uploaded it? EIther way this is a very beautiful song and a very beautiful video.

  • if you´ve seen the pig mask that appears at 1:38 somewhere else you are a true Emily Haines fan.

  • this video gives the song new meaning

  • Metric is so awesome, love them!

  • Tonight, your ghost will ask my ghost, "Who put these bunnies between us?"

  • this is a total pothead video.

  • @cgreyv shut the fuck up

  • that prego bitch needs to get a nose job but great song all the less

  • Comment removed

  • "Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost, were is the love?"

  • Whoa. Incredible lyrics.

  • What' with the freaky girl that looks like Darth Maul's cousin?

  • Can anyone tell me what the lyrics of this beautiful song mean? I'm doing a paper on it.

  • :o --"bodies",, not "bunnies"..

  • "Tonight, your ghost will ask my ghost,

'Who put these bunnies between us?'"

  • bodies.

  • My way is better.

  • Gut Video Ich Liebe : )

  • Is this video fan made or official?

    It seems so pro.

  • "tonight your ghost will ask my ghost, who put these bodies between us?" does anyone else think that's a sad line?

  • I agree. It very much states how we are fundamentally seperated from each other. Even if our minds/souls/ghosts- whatever we call it- can interact there is always a line that´s never to be crossed. Our bodies are borders, borders we need to actknowledge for being individuals... sadest thing on earth, by calling myself "i" and yourself "you" i create a line that will always seperate us...

  • this video gives me te creeps...

  • @MaxC17 i think it's just a very final and solemn line...not sad

  • this is the weirdest video...

  • good song but WTF on the video :o

  • 0:58

  • i wanna know what the video means iand the song it seems to have a deeper meaning but i cant figure it out.

  • 1:46 JAZZ HANDS =D

  • Ok... I know i've already commented on this vid, but i have to say , it was weird just now because just as it got to the bit with the falling airplanes, i head one going over the house... *creepy film music*

  • This brings a whole new meaning to the word, "fight." When there is a war someone is always fighting. In this case, she is fighting for her baby to survive.

  • my favourite part is when she says i wish we were lovers.. but its for the best. it makes me cry.

    metric is the best everrrrr.

  • This song is soooo good that it doesn't need a video, just listen!!! It'll just create a beautiful video of noise in your mind.

  • Does anyone else find this video incredibly creepy? o-o

Good song, anyway. Not one of Metric's best, but still good.

  • super creepy,good song though

  • -raises hand- I would rather not have the ubercreepy vid....

  • you have to look past it, the videos special for the fact that its not, its different, thus creating seperation from the every day norm, simply beautifull

  • I don't quite understand.....should I? lol

  • Tonight your ghost will ask my ghost,

who put these bodies between us?

I Love both the song and the video. I know it's really odd, but i really want to dance with someone to thins. Though, as i don't have anyone to dance with, letallone anyone who even knows Metric... i don't think that's gonna happen.

    A girl can dream...

  • ill dance with u

  • i love the song but the video is just lame...

  • I love the Metric, and this particular song is one of my favourites, but the video kind of ruins my perspective of the song. I've seen worse videos.

  • ._.

  • Actually if it wasn't for the video, I would have dismissed the song

  • such a very strange video.

BUT I STILL LOVE THE SONG =]

  • video.....is confuzing.....but the song rocks. :D

  • 'who put these bodies between us?' is just a perfect line. reminds me of my friend who believes that when she's hugging a person, their bodies get in the way of their souls interacting. pretty profound.

  • @coquelicotsteaparty I love your friend...

If it weren't for the way certain people look, we wouldn't worry about society's rules or popularity or beauty, because we'd see the person inside.

  • @coquelicotsteaparty: I think the same thing... tell your friend that she's totally great! :D

  • @coquelicotsteaparty THATS what I came to comment! i love the song but when she got to that line the first time i heard it i chocked up real bad! sure makes it hard on a lonely guy :)

  • hmm, love metric and this song, but i have to say this video is really not doing it for me

  • if i knew how to grow sweet potatoes n' milk cows i'd totally be a farmer =\

  • Lovely <3

  • trippy o.o

  • I'm having trouble trying to describe how awesome Metric is.

  • Alienation in a corporate world. Mother thinking "what's my baby got to look forward to.."

  • i think you express yourself very well. what do you do in life?

  • Crunch numbers. Dig rock (music).

Life on Earth: "One way in. No way Out"

(sic) Quote on Bob Mould tee shirt during Husker Du gig, 1985, London

  • i think its a pity you work with numbers when you could do pretty good things with words too. but i guess thats life, its personnal.

  • you speak of words, and pity those who get paid a lot of money to deal with numbers for a living, yet you somehow manage to spell personal* wrong?

  • wth does that mean 0.0

  • good interpretation. I would not have thought of that.

  • oh my gosh this is such a great vid. its creepy but it has so much hidden beauty and meaning.

  • Numbers are ok, people? not always...thx for your kind words... you seem nice :)

  • i don't really get the meaning to the vid but i love the song.

  • This is soooo sad.

  • <3 im in love

  • dude, that was fucking cool.

    this band kicks ass.

  • Metric is amazing, and this song steals my heart.

  • so shes half chick half dragon and shes sadcaus her baby is gonna be part dragon...

    i can dig that.

  • I think at the heart of it, many people can relate to this song, or metric in general.

Even if it isn't the exact same story, the way Emily Haines sings in such a passively sad voice, and lines like "who put these bodies between us?" truly can strike a chord in everyone.

  • the video is a bit strange mainly because i still dont understand but the song is beautiful.

  • i love how she says

    "sweet potat-ahs"

    ps, i love metric!

  • For those who do not understand the song - think about alienation at a corporate work place and a person liking another person in that environment. Double entendre on 'working the numbers.'

  • This song makes me cry.

Stop making me cry, Metric. I don't appreciate it.

    (Beautiful)

  • love it

  • argh. metric=genius. and i just can't get over it. sigh.

  • I think the video and song are both great.

"tonight, your ghost will ask my ghost

who put these bodies between us?"

  • I can't get over how good this song and video are.

I wonder, are the two stories related?

  • That yellow pregnant elf demon tri-horned thing is going to give me nightmares.

But I love the rest of the video, it's very interesting, and I enjoy watching it very much.

And this is one of my favourite songs.

But again, that pregant thing was a little weird.

  • I wouldv'e like the video better had they used Emily Haines instead of the alien lady.

  • maybe it was emily haines in disguise :P

  • no I don't think so

  • Trippy.

  • Am I the only person that thinks this video is just as good as the song itsel? I mean the video is abstract and unique. At least it's not like thos generic, two-bit R&B and/or Rap videos we see on television these days.

  • I totally agree with you

  • Thank you. Someone who see's my point of view.

  • Generic two-bit videos generally. Don't solely attack r&b and rap, particularly when you are only basing your opinions on corporate world's version of what r&b, rap and hip-hop is.

  • Sorry, but it's more than just the "corporate world's" version of Hip-Hop and R&B. R&B features either the idol worship of another or lust and infatuation while one sings of such topics while driving a car or walking down a street. Hip-Hop, however involves self-glorification and the degrading of women. There was a time when Hip-Hop had meaningful lyrics; something that is becoming increasingly obsolete today. At least Bands like Metric make a point by using metaphor, simile, and imagery.

  • its a good song, lets just leave it at that.

you two are hurting my brain.

  • Sorry that free thinking individuals hurt your brain. It's the twenty-first century, get over it.

  • I agree, their not exactly eating each others heads of. It looks more like a clean, researched debate. Unlike some on here where you give an opinion and all you get is four hundred swear words ending in your a bastard. If theres too many words there for you to read, then please be my guest and leave it at that. Let others speak, if you've got no real point to share with us other then your brain is hurting then please be quiet.

I like metric, I think many of their songs are misjdged though.

  • bj i gotta cosign with darrick ignorance is no excuse

  • creative. i think this video is amazing. its twistedly mysteriously amazing. i dont really understand. but i simply love it.

  • I was strangely upset by this

  • I think it's supposed to upset us.

  • i wish we were lovers <3

  • Weird ass video, Lovely gorgeous song

  • brittney this video sucks

  • I absolutely love this song, but I can't get past the first part of the video without being sick. Who came up with this crap?

  • I was eating oreos and this seriously almost made me puke.

  • eek. This video was creepy... but it was all on purpose and it actually helped me understand the lyrics a bit more.

  • i hate this video, love the song..

  • the thing looks like billy corgan

  • Sadly, I agree.

But billy corgain is simply amazing.

  • EWLL DX im never watchen this again! hahaha this is such a random horrible video :]

  • What The HELL IS THIS? pregnant alien women? WTF, seriously a truly lame video... (songs ok)

  • HAHAHAHA "pregnant alien women"!!! lol hilarious!!!

  • yes i agree. its so serene and blissful.

    loove make lust..i know..it isn't.

i'm siiick you're tiredd let s dan ce dance dance ;]

    oh emily. ;]

  • my favourite metric song. i am dissapointed by the video though.

  • it's obvious emily had no part in this

  • Weird video, great song

  • Definitely my favorite Metric song because of the cryptic and haunting lyrics. I love how much this song has become a describable emotion for me. Plus, the creepy creature(s) in the video would make for a disturbing/brilliant Halloween costume. Try marketing those masks.

  • I love this song <333

  • i love the song. the video lacks

  • we found Darth Maul's wife, lol...

anyway, great song, even if the clip is quite weird

  • I actually really like this

  • wow... this video is weak...

  • Phenomenal song. Just so serene
