  • I would SO watch that tv-show!

  • A sign seen at the local Walmart tool department: Buy Granthar's Hammer.

  • By the Snakes of Slytherin, I SHALL avenge thee!

Avada Ke-mthrfckn-DAVRA! There. Evil Space Aliens dead. Next?

  • Snape!!!!!

  • tim allen, alan rickman, sigourney weaver, and a cameo by rainn wilson. this movie has it all

  • As flakey as this movie appears from the surface, it's actually an ok film. We've seen all kinds of Tim Allen shit movies, but this was one of his best. It seems like they had a lot of fun making G Quest as well. The films concept of actors forced into a real space adventure is cool.

  • All i can see is snape in a bad wig....

and that is the SINGLE MOST HILARIOUS THING I'VE EVER SEEN

  • @switzerlicious how unpleasant was the smile?

  • When I said, "You shall be avenged!" to Alan Rickman while he was signing autographs outside of his Broadway show Seminar and he forced an unpleasant smile, should I take that to mean he was not happy with me?

  • @switzerlicious You should have added "By Grangthor's Hamma!"

  • @switzerlicious maybe it was a joke? you know, how in this he played an actor who hated playing his character so he did the unpleasant smile as part of the joke. either that or you should sleep with one eye open, he's rich enough to afford hitmen.

  • Who would've ever thought that Severus Snape and Santa/Scott Calvin would meet?

Tim Allen and Alan Rickman are awesome actors! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • I was four when this movie came out into theaters and I can remember watching it over and over again so often that mom hid it from me. I just went out and bought another one. This along with Final Fantasy: The spirits within were the only two movies I actually WANTED to watch. . . probably not the best two movies for a four year old to be watching. . .

  • I SEE DWIGHTTT

  • Holy Crap, i didn't know Rainn Wilson was in this

  • ah, 240p we meet again

  • @jerry4king "The show must go on" is a theatre saying that probably dates back to Roman times. You can see by the effect it has on Alan Rickman's character that it is the one and only thing that could be said that could get him out on the stage.

It's like saying, look, idiot, all those people have paid for this event and if you can't hack it, the show has to continue without you, and you can sit here and listen to us struggle along, or you can get out there and do your best.

  • When he saiys "The show must go on" is that in reference to queen or?

  • Brilliant. Say no more. I think it ended up not being a spoof ha ha

  • i wonder if tim allan is ready to narc on more ppl for selling him coke???

  • i have good quality when i zoom it out... full screen it is blurry smh... ty for the upload though

  • "Excuse me commander, I'm a Mac..."

  • Snape snape Severus snape! Alan Rickman you are a kickass sass master

  • I like how they based Alan Rickman's character off of Alec Guinness

  • in-case anyone cares: the scene at the end of this clip was taken from a real life situation that similarly happened to William Shatner:

  • Everytime I hear Alan Rickman say a word I hear "...MCCLAIN"

  • Comment removed

  • I love where Rickman's signing autographs, and growls out "Next!"

  • thats me in yhe audience. Im wearing blue. Mr. G.P.

  • Alan Rickman is a total badass and an amazing actor, but I gotta put in some good words for Tony Shalhoub. Such an awesome actor.

  • C'est un film plein d'intelligence comme les financeurs en font tous les vingt ans.

  • they need to make a part 2

  • Hands up whose here for Alan Rickman? *Puts hand in air* :D

  • One of the funniest movies ever!

  • OMG!! Its Alan Rickman, ive seen every Harry Potter and this is cool! Wow, I didnt know he was in this movie.

  • 6:38 OMGGG ALAN'S FACE!!! XDD

  • tim allen AND alan rickman? this is too much awesomeness! XD

  • We saw "Trekkies" on vhs one afternoon then went to GQ in the theater. I think it made the big screen experience all the better! L.O.L.

  • I would read that interview thoroughly.

  • the quality is dirtier then the water in africa

  • GALAXY QUEST FUCK YEAH

  • Peter-peter-peter-peter.............

  • Is one of the 'Mum' people Dwight from the office?

  • In the episode you can just see that the actor hes palying does not like to play second in command.

And at this moment i am sitting at my Computer watching Alan RIckman in Galaxy Quest while on TV is the Hitchiker's Fuide to teh Galaxy which is another movie hes been in and eating Cheese Sticks while drinking soda out of a Silly Straw. How strange am i?

"Gort! Klaatu barada nikto! " - from "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

  • Dude, the kid playin Tommy at 0:44 is Corbin Bleu.....huh.

  • Haha, he made it in time to see Alexander's panic attack :D I love Alan Rickman, he's a great actor and if really funny in this.

  • Most underrated movie ever. How is this still up if it was posted 3 years ago?

  • Awesome movie.

  • this is one of those movies I went to see just cuz I had nothing better to do but when I saw it I was surprised. This turned out to be a great movie and I bought it as soon as it came out on VHS. I still like to see this movie every couple months. I remember that the day I got the VHS I saw it like two or three times a day for a week. I mean you got Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor trying to be buzz lightyear. You aint seeing that nowhere else.

  • Yes, it is spoofing Trek (And I am still a total Trekkie) but I don't care, this movie is fun and hilarious. Plus talk about one hell of a cast. Rickman and Shalhoub are my favorites. This movie is awesome.

  • IS THAT DWIGHT!?!? at 8:32

  • Man, Snape looks a lor more... glum, than usual.

  • @JustinBlottin It's gotta be that head piece he has on, or all the makeup, perhaps it itches or something.

  • "I had originally not wanted to see Galaxy Quest because I heard that it was making fun of Star Trek, and then Jonathan Frakes rang me up and said 'You must not miss this movie! See it on a Saturday night in a full theatre.' And I did, and of course I found it was brilliant. Brilliant. No one laughed louder or longer in the cinema than I did."

-Sir Patrick Stewart (a.k.a. Captain Picard) talking about Galaxy Quest.

  • @ninjawraith17

whoever said it was making fun of Star Trek had alan hairdue up their ass

  • I feel sorry for Alex

  • sondano -- you are absolutely right! Once a Trekkie -- ALWAYS a Trekkie! :)

  • Thanks for posting! I love this movie & yes ... I agree they were spoofing Trekkies and Star Trek. But who cares -- totally funny. [I was a trekkie too!]

  • @Hensonme Was?? Once a Trekkie always a Trekkie. You traitor! :)

  • From 9:25 to 9:50 I actually felt sorry for the guy.

  • @mandaladouble

Actually I think they were spoofing Star Trek and Trekkies

  • Mmmmm... mum... Mum mum... Mum

  • I love how Alan Rickman's always so grumpity... there isn't a single moment in this movie that he doesn't remind me of Snape

And I keep thinking of Jason as Tim "the Toolman" Taylor

  • @praisetothesinners also the voice of dog from dogma

  • @praisetothesinners Move out Sherlock; there's a new kid in town!

  • I laughed my ass off at 8:21-8:24

  • Best thing about it is Alan rickman :) love him. Still an awesome movie though

  • the only good thing justin long has ever done

  • Hans Gruber in Die Hard (1988) was Rickman's first movie role (he'd done very little TV work either). A helluva risk of faith for the producers- casting this short, everyday-looking, middle-aged Brit who had never been before film cameras in such a major role - that role being a charismatic, chameleon-like, German uber-criminal bad-ass.

But even here - spoofing Spock in a sci-fi comedy/parody - his "By Grabthar's hammer" to the dying Quellak still wipes the floor with most of Hollywood

  • i'm guessing rickman had theater experience. theater actors usually do fine in film work.

  • @MrHoppers002

He was, by the late 80s and Die Hard, one of the UK's leading Shakespearean actors. But years of cuts to arts budgets - Thatcher govt, end of the Great London Council etc - meant that many stage actors - even the leads - had to try for Hollywood just to pay their bills. Maggie Smith did Sister Act, for eg, so that she could carry on acting for scale on the stage.

  • and most stage actors have no problem in hollywood. film work is easier than stage work. In a sense that if you can perform live performing in front of a camera should be a piece of cake.

  • @MrHoppers002

Not many manage it at all. They are very different and to say that film work is "easier" is way off the mark (scuse pun).

  • well i can think of william shatner and patrick stewart and ian mckellan. they all started off as stage actors and transitioned well into film work.my bad film work is hard due to the weird schedule and little time to remember the weird dialogue. Theater work is more manageable since technically you have lots of time to rehearse and remember the lines.

  • @MrHoppers002

    TL;DR and finite version:

Every actor has the same problems as MrHoppers002

  • lol. i'm not an actor. the most i could be is a background character with no dialogue.

  • @MrHoppers002

    evidently

  • SNAPE!!!! XD i all ways lol at this cus of that actor

  • Epic movie.

  • soudn way too soft

  • I LOVE this film! :D <33

  • Am I too late for Alexander's panic attack?

    >:(

    Apparently not

  • alan rickman rules

  • "You WILL go out there!"

"I WON'T...and nothing you say will make me."

    "The show must go on."

    "...Damn you..."

    XD

Three cheers for the crew of the Enterp--er, the Protector! ;)

  • @Forrest0726 Yup, that's him

  • @Forrest0726 Yup that's him.

  • One of the many, Many, MANY things I like about this movie is looking to see all the people who are famous now but who's career was just starting then.

(Missy Pyle was hot then and she's twice as hot now)

  • alan rickman's voice is so orgasmic

  • @EllieCrow I AGREE !

  • i haven't seen this moive since i was seven. OMG. if i had been alex and had to look like that id be pissed of and leave too. and gwen has a total right to want to be mad that being the only girl she was only seen for her boobs. poor woman.

  • Damn, Sigourney Weaver makes that outfit WORK!

  • O.o Alan Rickman??

  • @littlenightfox yeah i found that a bit weird too. usually he gets some serius part in a movie. here he makes a funny. last movie i saw with him in it was robin hood prince of thieves i had to do a double take.

  • @GlassCtiy i know i had to do a double take in alot of his movies that i've seen of him in it. Loved Robin Hood Prince of Thieves though

  • i just realize one of the thermians is rainn wilson

  • This film is so entertaining, every scene holds the attention. In Guy's words "something bad happened here "

  • Like all great genre comedies (Shaun of the Dead also comes to mind) this film is both a loving parody and a worthy addition to the genre it was inspired by.

    In other words: a masterpiece

  • @MoltenPlastic All Trekkies should see this. I love this movie so much!

  • i saw this a few days ago while i was on holiday it was really funny when that alien with snape just says "it seems i have been shot" *_ * lol

  • No one plays the spiteful British actor QUITE like Alan Rickman.

  • AHAHA 1:15 MONK !!!!!!

  • 6:50 always makes me laugh, annoying nerds.

  • About my boobs (lol)

  • Hmm...the convention's missing one (in)famous archetype from a Trekkie convention. What is it? Oh yeah...slash fangirls! :P I guess it would have been hard to keep the PG rating with them!

  • best star trek parody eva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(by grabthars hammer!)
