Japanese cars have always been a cheap copy of European ones. There's not a single jap car company which have come up with technological inventions in the last 30 years. Airbags, aluminium frames, ESP, Diesel- and Wanckel-engines, electronic fuel injection, traction control, 4wheels drive etc. are all from Europe.
In the International Touring Car Championship German racecars beat japanese frequently. That's why Toyota and Honda withdrew from that event long ago!
European everything is very high end expensive, luxury goods. Japanse make very cheap affordable goods. Americans try and go the middle road by making not very cheap but not 2 luxurious cars, but fail. A little economics for you.
This car is what Audi are all about - a triumph of pretentious styling that will be lapped up by brain-dead badge-obsessed morons who think that four rings and some daytime LED lights make a car good. These imbeciles will flock to it in droves, never minding for a moment that it blows goats dynamically becasue people will see them in a Audi... I despair sometimes.

this is such a bad bad idea...just baaaad...when you drive an SUV, you advertise you have small people's complex, no sense for aesthetics and are just cattle that follows trends...if you add a convertible into the mix, you add that your a vaine idiot...
I love audi. My dad has an audi, i have an audi, im doing car design at uni, and want to work for audi, but im not too sure about what they are trying to achieve with this one...
this would of been a good concept to compete with the X6 craze...
