I love this band so much... introduced me to progressive music through Colors, which is the best album of all time for me. I want more in that direction from them.
i would be interested to hear a rerecorded version of their first two albums with the current line up. tommy's voice has developed so much more range since the first two albums and it shows in this video and how he approaches the vocals, especially the cleans
@TheDonkeyFLOPPER A re-recording of The Silent Circus would be awesome for sure, and even though I don't like it as much, I'd rather see the self-titled album redone. I seen these guys live supporting DEP a few years ago, they were totally robbed for sound, it wasn't loud enough at all. They were still amazing though, you could feel the power coming off the stage even though you couldn't hear it that well. Not many bands can do that.

I am absolutely stunned by this. Not a single fucking mistake. 5:34 of an incredibly difficult song, not ONE mistake. I just...speechless. So fucking talented. One of the most talented bands in the world without question.
Probably one of the best live metal bands of all time. Only other band I can think of as a close second is killswitch engage. I wish more metal was pro live. People dissing on this are extremely closed minded. They have so much more influence than just metal if you truly listen to the music.

This is better then the recorded version. For once I don't hate Tommy's growls (idk why, I just can't get into them, but I love the guitar, drums, and his cleans) but live, their so...good.
There is only ONE thing I don't like about BTBAM. The way Tommy always has the tendency to go 'ayyyyy' at the end of lyrics, it just, I dunno. I can't stand it sometimes. But everything else is phenomenal.
@cazmaestro the ayy is something I do too, im not sure if he does it for the same reason but it makes it way easier on my throat than ending it with the normal syllable, hopefully it lays to rest any downside you could ever see in this band :)

@iApplePhil Many people cant understand the lyrics. We do, however, actually bother to research the lyrics and find the meaning of the music, rather than just listen to something and later some find out the music has no meaning. Although people dont like this genre because of the music we appreciate every form of art that is created from it.
What I really like about these guys aside from their great music (am I the only one that thinks that this song is better when the harmony singer takes over for a second at 3:03? It just sounds great) is the fact that even though most of them (especially the singer) look like scrawny losers, they pull off the progmetal badass attitude in a believable fashion. Especially when Dusty starts headbanging at 3:50. They must be amazing live.
Plus paul looks sorta like me in the Mordecai music vid.

Okay, but seriously, I love this song. I can't listen to it front to back at any given time, but I can the ending. However, the contrast of the insane opening and the Floyd-esque ending makes a sort of beauty I haven't seen in much prog-metal. I still think they should get a singer that does distorted vocals that still have an identifiable melody, but they still pulled it off.
These guys are phenomenol. The vocals really aren't my cup of tea at the beginning, but gosh darn they can play. This is really the first time I've been exposed to them, but they are amazingly technical AND tight. I suspect the lead singer is gradually going to start singing more, and less screaming. You just can't survive "singing" like he did at the start of the song. Two thumbs up!
@drdomer those types of vocals are something you have to learn to do from your diaphragm, not your throat, otherwise you will shred your throat up. tommy is a master of screaming/growling vocals, he'll be fine haha.

I'm so pissed i got screwed out of seeing them a few years ago back when Blake and Dusty were still in Glass Casket. This was after 9/11 and there was risks of an attack of some sort happening and were advised to cancel the show cause they would have had to cross a bridge to Long Island. I still have yet to see them, they are one of my favorite bands. =(

We do, however, actually bother to research the lyrics and find the meaning of the music, rather than just listen to something and later some find out the music has no meaning. Although people dont like this genre because of the music we appreciate every form of art that is created from it.

What I really like about these guys aside from their great music (am I the only one that thinks that this song is better when the harmony singer takes over for a second at 3:03? It just sounds great) is the fact that even though most of them (especially the singer) look like scrawny losers, they pull off the progmetal badass attitude in a believable fashion. Especially when Dusty starts headbanging at 3:50. They must be amazing live.
Plus paul looks sorta like me in the Mordecai music vid.

Okay, but seriously, I love this song. I can't listen to it front to back at any given time, but I can the ending. However, the contrast of the insane opening and the Floyd-esque ending makes a sort of beauty I haven't seen in much prog-metal. I still think they should get a singer that does distorted vocals that still have an identifiable melody, but they still pulled it off.

These guys are phenomenol. The vocals really aren't my cup of tea at the beginning, but gosh darn they can play. This is really the first time I've been exposed to them, but they are amazingly technical AND tight. I suspect the lead singer is gradually going to start singing more, and less screaming. You just can't survive "singing" like he did at the start of the song. Two thumbs up!

@drdomer those types of vocals are something you have to learn to do from your diaphragm, not your throat, otherwise you will shred your throat up. tommy is a master of screaming/growling vocals, he'll be fine haha.

@Viibrate Dude, if you seriously think they kicked him out you need to do some homework. Both MP and JP say in interviews that MP left because he had more fun in A7X and that everyone in DT were shocked. He did what this song is about. Worked for selfish goals. Why should he sit in their chair when it doesn't satisfy his desires? He needs to understand what kind of asshole he has been seen as by many people and think a little.

I'm so pissed i got screwed out of seeing them a few years ago back when Blake and Dusty were still in Glass Casket. This was after 9/11 and there was risks of an attack of some sort happening and were advised to cancel the show cause they would have had to cross a bridge to Long Island. I still have yet to see them, they are one of my favorite bands. =(
