  • Thanks! that was amazing :)

  • Esse tipo de música só não faz sucesso aqui no Brasil, pena...

  • I guess the Hendrix grip is out of the question?

  • @TruthSurge lmao!

  • @mecca777 hehehhe

  • @TruthSurge

    Unless you are Reed Richards.

  • @SquigglyJ0e hahaha good one.

  • Beautifully done. Thank you!

  • Is he Jobim?

  • @MLMusic4

Well... why don't you try Google Image? It'll take you a second and it'll be really obvious...

  • @carlos22santos

I've never seen you doing it any better :)

  • WEAK.

  • Nice

  • Im Verhältnis zum Griffbrett hat er zu wenig FInger :)

Compared to the fretboard he hasn't got enough fingers :)

  • 7 strings is the ideal, but 11!! its little bit hard to take the habit

  • @katexpero2 Most of those bass notes are just their for the roots of the scales. If you watch the whole video, he almost never touches the frets for the top strings, just plays them as open strings.

  • @RingoFreakingStarr I see him fretting bass notes through the whole video, only hits em open if the root of his scale/chord is the same as the open string I guess

  • Great piece. Beautifully played, love this piece and the Fairie Round as well. Well done.

  • He certainly does play the lower strings, all of them, but open. You can hear them and see them vibrate. Obviously.

  • @denverexec2000

I stand corrected. I wasn't paying much attention the first time I saw this video but you are right, he certainly plays the lower strings. The fact is that I've known and played this arrangement for a while and I know is for 6 strings. He may have added a couple bass notes in substitution of some higher ones from the arrangement but, as you point out, they are all open so I guess it doesn't make the arrangement more difficult and you certainly don't need 11 strings to play it.

  • I love the renaissance baron haircut. Almost as rare and beautiful as this piece of music.

  • Very peaceful piece man. Nice playing, very inspiring.

  • Not enough strings...

  • Sur une telle guitare... C'est une très belle maitrise de la bossa nova, des accords subtils et recherchés... Du grand art !

Em tal uma guitarra ... É um belo domínio da bossa nova, arranjos sutis e procurado ... A grande arte!

  • It's GREAT!

I want to play your arrangement using capo with my 10 strings guitar.

  • me too!

  • Very nice, but the guitar player were using in this case only 6 strings:)

  • the 6 main strings are the same as a normal classical. the other 4 strings are tuned to bass notes depending on the arangement. theyre meant to just ring the bass not really for playing

  • Nice job, John!

    Peter Blanchette

  • Very nice !... Thanks.

  • its an alto guitar.

  • I thought alto guitars had four strings.

  • thats bass guitar

  • Yeah. I thought I had seen a 4 string alto before, but I guess not.

  • What kind of guitar is that? :P

  • This is a ten strings baroque guitar.

Check ebay, they will have those time to time

  • Que bien, adonde puedo conseguir la partitura?

  • nice! :P
