@katexpero2 Most of those bass notes are just their for the roots of the scales. If you watch the whole video, he almost never touches the frets for the top strings, just plays them as open strings.
@RingoFreakingStarr I see him fretting bass notes through the whole video, only hits em open if the root of his scale/chord is the same as the open string I guess
I stand corrected. I wasn't paying much attention the first time I saw this video but you are right, he certainly plays the lower strings. The fact is that I've known and played this arrangement for a while and I know is for 6 strings. He may have added a couple bass notes in substitution of some higher ones from the arrangement but, as you point out, they are all open so I guess it doesn't make the arrangement more difficult and you certainly don't need 11 strings to play it.
Felicitaciones, me gustaría que me colaborara con partituras.......Si no es mucho pedir...Me gusta mucho la música. Envíemelas a mi correo. chezpa65@hotmail.com
oh my goodness.how do these classical people play this stuff?I wish i had an opportunity to learn the basics of this..how long do we humans live after all..i choose to just promote and sell what i already know..like Bryan Adams..You dont live forever..Do you?
the 6 main strings are the same as a normal classical. the other 4 strings are tuned to bass notes depending on the arangement. theyre meant to just ring the bass not really for playing
Thanks! that was amazing :)

He certainly does play the lower strings, all of them, but open. You can hear them and see them vibrate. Obviously.

Sur une telle guitare... C'est une très belle maitrise de la bossa nova, des accords subtils et recherchés... Du grand art !
Em tal uma guitarra ... É um belo domínio da bossa nova, arranjos sutis e procurado ... A grande arte!
