This video is real.. I know the catcher Alfonzo, is the Rookie of the San Francisco Giants that hited 12 hr in 89 games in 2006. He is from my hometown and i know him very well and believe me, he does not catch with the right, so if you watch well, he is just holding the glove...
@armandodanielb2 That makes no sense, " He does not catch with his right, so if you watch well he's just holding the glove." What do you mean by that?
@TheYoungGunist Some people are saying that in a part of the video he has the glove in the right hand and in another part in the left hand and it is true but that doesn't mean that it is fake... When you see it in the Left hand is when Alfonzo is catching and then in the right hand is when he is just holding the glove and looking the girl in the outfield...
The entire image at 0:27 is reversed, flipped, like some of you morons. Look at the catcher's chest protector, his throwing and catching hands, and the fans in the background.
This has gotta be CG. After she pushes off with her left leg, she doesn't turn to look for the ball. And then she sticks out her glove to the exact spot? No way. Not humanly possible. It's a fake, people.
@Wats0nnn He's just holding the glove with his right hand, not wearing it. Watch closely. Obviously, he removed it from his left catching hand when he was stunned to witness what just happened. :(
you guys are all idiots, it is DEFF. a gatorade ad. ive seen the whole thing before, and this is just part of it, at the end, it says it is a gatorade ad. geezzz.
first it is a commercial cuz the catcher start right handed and then changes to a left handed watch it and a ball girl can not touch a ball until the ball is dead
@Delthafunky510 then y is he waering a batting glove on throwing hand fucker before pitch he doesnt have batting glove on this right hand and then he does so wht do u say to tht shit face
Oh, It's real. CNN did a special report on it last year. Apparently, someone wrote an article tying it to Gatorade but the person who wrote the original article was given incorrect facts...it really did happen and Gatorade just tried taking credit for it because she was drinking their product.
They said it was a Gatorade Commercial to Punk Prank everybody !

either its real or the ball went out of the stadium and the ball came in from someone right there in the left field stands. because the ball comes in at a weird angle at the end of the video
Guys, it's fake. Gatorade shot this ad, but ended it's association with the ad agency a little after they shot the film so it got shelved. The company said it was done by using wires. You can see an awkward pause midair at 0:16. Not saying this type of catch is impossible, but this one is NOT real. Seriously guys, you can use the internet, do some research, cross-check your info, then use THAT to decide when stuff if real or fake.
lol... its a different catcher because ITS A DIFFERENT CATCHER!... thats a bullpen catcher not the guy behind the plate morons.. its real... fuck.. morons :D
hahahaha just google it you fools gatorade admitted it's a commercial. btw the catcher switches from being a righty to a lefty inthe clip, making it even more FAKE
@MrGreenKnight11 You sound like a fuckin dumbass. It's edited if you watch when giving the signs the catcher is right handed but when he is in " disbelief" he is left handed.
you people are so dumb, it;s completely legit, not a gatorade commercial, and all that shit you're sayin, geez, take it for what it;s worth, a girl goin apeshit on a baseball
The cather Doesn't have the glove ON his right hand at the end of the video he's holding it
But he is now wearing a batting glove on his right hand at the end of the video and he was not wearing it at the beginning when he was giving signs.. 0:02
Even though it is legal for a catcher to wear a batting glove on his throwing hand it is very very rare to see it
It's not a Gatorade ad... sheeesh If gatorade would make an ad it would be clear to see the whole bottle clearly and up-close.. if this is an ad.. gatorade is just wasting their money !
@theteenproject88 It is an ad and gatorade did 'waste' their money. They never used the clip after they shot it. It's been circulated for years now and comes and goes. Looks good...but it's fake
In the beginning of the video the catcher is right handed. Then, at the end of the video, he is left handed. LEFT HANDED, I tell you... a catcher in AAA? Fake!
IDIOTS. Look at the catchers chest plate logo at the start. It's on his right shoulder. At the end its on his left shoulder. This clearly shows us that this is REAL.. I mean FAKE it's FAKE
if this is a commercial its one of the worst ive ever seen. why would people pay attention to the small bottle underneath her chair after such an amazing trick?..
yes its real! lmao! thats at grizzly field in fresno! its kinda hard to make this stuff up... and if it is fake, why did they use the fresno grizzys??? that would be really lame!
This is fake. Baker smith made it for gatorade. Common sense tells you a ball girl is not going to catch a ball at the fence. Also does the fact that the catcher goes from right handed to left handed clue you in? Hahahaha
Confirmed. This was part of a stealth viral campaign by Gatorade. If you look at the end there's a gatorade bottle underneathe the chair when she sits down. (Not saying a girl couldn't do this.. but in this case it wasn't genuine.)
If you notice, the catcher doesn't go from right handed to left handed. Its just the camera that inverted it. Because the Mizuno logo on his chest protector is always on his throwing hand and when they are showing the cathcer lifting up his mask they show a runner running the opposite direction.
not all commericals are less than 30 seconds. i mean this was awesome and spoke for all girls who rock out there since i mean we do but i think it was cool cause she showed up the (male) announcers who though she actually caught it! lol stupid male gender
the catcher is ambidextrous i assume ?

@MrDphilli3 it looks like the catcher's holding the glove with his right hand. it looks like fingers over the gloves as he's holding the mitt.
