Every consonant sound in the Japanese Katakana and Hiragana alphabets except for 1 (n) is paired with a vowel sound. For example, the D sound made by adding the daku-ten ( " mark) to the "ta" line can go Da, De, or Do. And on the Ta line it is Chi and Tsu, for I and U

BTW: if this city is called "Capulet" city, then Brad has to be from Montegue (not sure about the spelling there)

well brutha, a lot of the intensity is lost in translation. Sometimes the translation is all wrong, and rather corny. Watch some original Ranma 1/2 and you'll laugh your ass off. Watch the same episode in english you might get a few laughs.

True, but as Brutha was saying not all anime translations go over well. Sometimes the translators take liberties with the dialogue and it gets corny and the voice doesn't fit the character. Best example of liberties taken in translations, the live action Spawn movie in comparison to the HBO animated series. Spawn in the series made folks cringe and wonder if he was really the goodguy, in the live action he was just a dressed vigilante in spandex that told some bad one- liners.

It's cuz the Japanese language has no stand alone consonants like English does except for the letter "n". It's all "Ba, bi, bu, be, bo" "ma, mi, mu, me, mo" "ra, ri, ru, re, ro" and so on.

So Brad comes out in their written language for non-Japanese words (katakana) "Bu-ra-do" which is exactly how they say it out loud.
