Leon is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but I'd like to leave this video up just as a fond memory, and as a thank you to Joe Hall for all his efforts.

As a young girl, growing up in Tulsa, Leon was part of my upbringing. My dad travelled for a living and we'd listen to 'Carney" for hours & hours...Daddy was my first love, of course. As an adult, I met my husband and we bonded over our mutual love of Leon. "Song for You" was our song and we played it at our wedding & my husband's funeral. I couldn't say anything more beautiful. Leon's the 3rd biggest love of my life.

At the RRHOF Induction Ceremony for Leon Russell, Leon said: "About a year ago, Elton came and found me in a ditch, by the side of the highway of life. He took me up to the high stages with big audiences and treated me like a king. And the only thing I could say is Bless Your Heart". Leon is so humble. His music is so beautiful. Thank you for this video, for the online petition above, and thank you to those who have suggested writing RRHOF. To those that say it doesn't matter, RRHOF is ridiculous, corrupt, etc. I say to you that although RRHOF may be nothing, the public and the younger generations are SOMETHING, as Leon surely knows. Although by this time it seems the RRHOF is simply pandering to highly commercial artists (even jazz, soul and rap performers who gained dubious entry through their doors), Leon deserves enshrinement more than any other contemporary American rock performer. Thanks for creating this great vid.

I was blessed with great parents who turned me on to Leon when I was in the 4th grade. That was around 92. My mom took me to see him in Dallas at Poor Davids, and I have been a huge fan ever since. Leon rules!!!

The RRHoF is lame, like almost all "official" honors.

Leon doesn't belong in a MUSEUM, isn't for people who

need to be told he wrote the lyrics to some song by The Carpenters.
