Two of the greatest lead guitarists on the earth. This band could go up against most bands today and kick their fuckin ass!! Thin Lizzy rules! Been a fan since 1976!! Long live Lizzy!!
I'm only 32 years old, so i was just barely "aware" of Thin Lizzy growing up. It's a band I've completely ignored. What a mistake! I'm a bassist, and this is definitely a band that should have been on my radar over the years! What a great group, and an amazing bassist/singer!
Uma exelente banda, todo mundo que diz gostar de rock tem que conhecer o Thin Lizzy. É uma pena que estes músicos magistrais não terem todo o reconhecimento que merecem.
One of the all time best bands ever in the history of music. Up there with the beatles and RUSH. No pretense. Just in it for the music, and they just happened to be cool when they did it
Hmmmm... I don't mind Rush - don't listen to them much at all now, but I think they're a bit behind Lizzy and well behind the Beatles. For starters - both Lizzy and the Beatles have female fans, something Rush sadly fails to ever do - they don't have a very wide appeal. Rush have this amazing ability to send females into a rage. My brother's wife banned him from ever playing Rush in the house. I would not go to a Rush concert expecting to pick up.
Thin Lizzy RULE ALL!! Best Irish band ever, although I suppose there'll probably be some people who'll dispute, they're Irish, supposse that's understandable, are they generally recognized as an Irish band around the world, or is it just Philly himself?
Best Irish band?. Lately i tend to think about them as best band ever in the world.
Man, i love Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, Who, Sabbath, and all that shit...but Lizzy just overcomes me. If you talk to me about Lizzy my heart just comes out of my mouth.
I am spanish and live in england. I saw "thin lizzy" in manchester last year (only Scott Gorham remains from the original band). It is cult band for Spanish rockers. for me, they are amongst the "top ten" of all time great rock bands. SUPERB GUITARS.
Kick ass song, from bad reputation disc I was lucky enough to see them with phil back in 1977. I always liked the guitarists tone playing dual leads. gary moore is an equal match to replace brian robertson
matching these intricate dual leads with scott gorham.
'Waiting For An Alibi' is off 'Black Rose', not 'Bad Rep'. Also the only studio album with Gary Moore on guitar, not counting his guesting on 'Nightlife'.
that dual-lead guitar was genius, but they disbanded right when they metal scene in the 80s was gaining momentum. If they were around, maybe hair metal wouldn't have happened (oh, how the naive love to dream)
How old r u? f**kin 11? listen to pop music? have more respect ya McTosser if you don't like it keep your snotty nosed opinions to yourself cos we don't give a shit!

While I rate Gary Moore as one of the best in the business - in the context of Lizzy - Scott Gorham is the Guitarist that defines the band and it its best and brightest era. Jailbreak has to rate as one of the best pieces of rock vinyl ever - from start to finish it is a stone cold classic! Met him too - a very cool guy who stopped to chat and have a photo taken. Kudos Scotty.

the Hellacopters, even the Darkness were a great guitar band for a second. but i agree with jsbach40 that NOBODY today even comes close to having the style or talent that Phil and the boys had. everybody is too busy growling and making a friggin' racket.
this song is one of Lizzy's best- hands down. Gorham's licks are tasty as ever and anyone who ever questions Moore ability have em'listen to this. what a f@#kin' RIPPER!

I came to comment on this video and find everyone bickering, stop it for heaven sake and be nice people. Oh yeah, the reason I came to comment, I love this song and Gary's guitaring is excellent.
