  • Cool, The Trader was launched at Ghana.

  • flash mobs in the rest of the world has people filming on their phones. here the only one filming is google itself.

  • I'm not Ghanaian, but I will say - I'm down with my African brothers and sisters. You guys take it out when it comes to rhythmic body movements. So sexy yet so fun!

    P.S: I love Ghana chocolate.

  • WOW!!! I wanna flash in this lifetime!! You win and the song is incredibly catchy. Soooooo cool!

  • yurp really surprised at some comments here..so you honestly think all we Africans do is wake up in the morning and say to each other in cave men accents."onga banga bongo...oh oh oh" jump around on trees and chase zebras around because cnn/bbc report it to be so..and stupidly enough we have caring and loving hearts that amidst all your racial comments and treatment we cry for you during your disasters(irene, katrina),political elections and give you the best hospitality when you come here!!

  • @QewBeats I wish I could apologize on behalf of the ignorant posters, but it's a sad fact that most Americans don't own passports or even try to see anything beyond our own borders. I traveled across Africa last year and was always treated with respect, kindness, and hospitality. Africans are beautiful people, inside and out, and I owe them a debt of gratitude. Again, sorry for these youtube idiots.

  • I was soooooo happy to see this. So gad they pulled it off. This is awesome!

  • LOL!

  • Some people should use Google (or Wikipedia) to find facts about places and cultures, rather than their previously held opinions and stereotypes, before posting comments that speak negatively about anything.

  • Ace video! I lived in Ghana for a year, got real familiar with all the places shown...couldn't imagine the scene at Makola with all the dancers and traders. It's already so crowded! And BIG UPS for representing Akuafo Hall at Legon! Played, of all things, baseball with those guys! Go Farmers! Miss Gh so much after seeing this kinda stuff!

  • Great! Google, you have enough money to end extreme poverty in Ghana, so what are you going to do to help?

  • @KlabronH are u Even Ghanaian? We should be helping ourselves, not waiting for someone to help us. U don't sit around in the exam hall waiting for some smart kid to write your papers for you. You write them yourself.

For the record peple in so called "developing" countries are as poor or worse than "developed" countries.

  • so glad i live in america

  • @tinygirl505 ? africans love dance lol its their culture. wtf u talking about u idiot?-.=

  • @Rajey Do the Muslim people of Africa dance like this? Is that part of their culture? Can a continent as large as Africa, with so many different kinds of people, have a single 'African culture?' When we think of Africa, do we automatically think of a bunch of people dancing around like maniacs, or do we automatically think of ingenious, intelligent, kind, sophisticated, brilliant people? Does google think it's part of African culture to be an engineer, or a scientist, or a mathematician?

  • @tinygirl505 It's not a crime to dance and to have fun. Not because you don't know or care why it's apart of the culture means no one else considers it so. When I think Africa I think a lot of things, but if all Ghanaians did everyday was act snobbish*points in your general direction* I'd sure think less of them.

  • @tinygirl505

Correction, the Muslims in Africa are still Africans, meaning dancing is part of the culture therefore I bet some Muslims can CHOOSE to dance like this. 2ndly this is just a commercial, it does not seek to capture all the cultures across the continent in one video. Its only to capture the energy of the people through dancing. & 3rdly yes, we do have sophisticated commercials showing our other strengths - just enjoy the video & stop trying to make baseless arguments.

  • @tinygirl505 I'm from Ghana and you're clearly not an educated person, and you've probably never been to Ghana, let alone AFRICA. Keep your stupidity to yourself. The only monkey around here seems to be you.

  • @bookiee8 You are FROM Ghana, and you don't find this 'ad' insulting? Everyone I know from Ghana has an MBA from Columbia. When I think of Ghana, I think of incredibly successful, well-educated, ivy-league business men. If I made a commercial about Ghana, it would feature sophisticated, intelligent, caring people in a gorgeous country. Is that what google thinks?

  • @tinygirl505

well, this still does not rule out your initial derogatory comment. Heck, we have all faces of commercials in our African countries...including the "sophisticated" ones you wanna see. So what wrong is it if we wanna dance in a commercial this time?.Yes, you wanna carry a message across but do that with logic & don't contradict yourself to make you look like an ignorant racist. Cos your initial comment was derogatory even though I assume you wanted to criticize google

  • @tinygirl505This is how stupid like you prefer to show their ignorance instead of doing something productive. Those kinds of biased and bigotted thoughts will lead you nowhere.I wish I could meet you in real life to educate you a little.I can't believe human beings like yourself still exist in today's world.I bet you can't dance 1/18th of what they do and you just feel bad for yourself, so you come here and show all your hate. This is message is coming to you from a gentleman in Cameroon, Africa.

  • @gjwaindim Of course you are a gentleman from Cameroon - I know only gentlemen from Cameroon; you are an intelligent, educated person. When I think of Africa, I think of mathematicians, engineers, programmers - the kinds of people who can create amazing things. What does google think of when they think of Africa? Physicians? Scientists? If you made a commercial for google in Ghana, what would you include? Philosophers? Gentlemen? Artists? Professors? Or a bunch of dancing lunatics?

  • @tinygirl505 Yes, Africa is full of artists, proffessors, philosophers, mathematicians, engineer, programmers etc...heck I'm an engineer. Your ignorance of Africa's advancement does not mean Africa is not advanced. Listen, the western media is not interested in what good Africa has accomplished or scientific advancement. The western media only broadcasts what ever negative news out of Africa...to prove my point, when was the last time you watched some good news about Africa on ur tv in the US ?

  • @tinygirl505 what would you have said if the commercial showed white people dancing...lets say somewhere in europe or the US...nothing, you would have probably commended them on a job well done. Now since you see happy Ghanians having a good time...what do you do...you decide to call them monkeys. We are all human beings, the fact that some people produce more melanin than others does not neccessarily make them any different from you. Your view of Africa is skewed please come visit sometime....

  • @gjwaindim well said, that is why I pray till the day Ghan and whole Africa is fucking rich then we will see who will laugh every one thinks whole of africa is poor they must go to ghana then the will see mansions the don't have in europe or even america lets pray till the day Ghana will be one of the richest and we can insult them for cows

  • @tinygirl505 your stupid

  • @lenoat702 u think pple in Ghana dont know what google is??? well #gofigure

  • @lenoat702 ...... u think u are the only enlightened person or 'people' on the face of the planet. I do sometimes wonder why some humans think more highly of themselves than they ought to. U know what google is so why not volunteer to educate people in 'that country.'

    Progress is slow process.

5 years ago, that mall didn't exist. In 10-20 years that market and many others will transform.

  • I bet nobody has heard of Google there

  • @20MDM Not true, even though I guess half the population of Ghana have never used a pc in their life, and the ones who have mostly use Yahoo, there are many people there who are familiar with the name Google. Ghana is not that back-warded..

  • @20MDM

The younger generation is in tune with recent information.

  • @20MDM well u just lost ur bet, are you listening to yourself? goole is a money making entity so why be in ghana/africa if no one there knows about it. it pays to think before making such comments
