  • are you mad that should be 1 or 2

  • I used to live in west palm beach :)

  • What one might view as "mistakes or disasters " rarely are .

    Opportunities prevail ~

  • Potential for the real estate was on the radar. Destroy it - clean it out -manage it to suit the needs of corporate. Intentional meltdown for land grab.

  • crimes against humanity

  • Bush and Cheney and the local poohbahs and developers essentially liquidated New Orleans and an important part of the population is till scattered to the winds.

  • don't build town's or city's in flood planes. duhhhhh!

    a swamp is a swamp...

"if your feet get wet, move to higher ground" - Tyler Chester

  • Huh. Let's not forget that New Orleans was a strong, populous, democratic stronghold in an otherwise Repub state, at a time when we had a strong push to make this entire nation a one party nation... I doubt it would be necessarily DELIBERATE, but Bush & co. were not above benefiting from tragedy.

  • How can we spin this? I'm sure we can make it Obama's fault somehow....someway

  • sorry, my mistake its not the imp its the IMF

  • India also, being strangled by the imp which was set up by white corporate interests, the native american indians, the Moaries, the indiginous population of Australia, any none white country that has wealth and wants to govern itself has always been destroyed by white corporate interest,

  • you can see the race devide as clear as day, look at all the countries in the world who have been effected by america and britains (as well as many other predominantly white christian countries) and you can clearly see the this devide, Africa is robbed on a daily basis for its natural wealth, brazil and south america, robbed for its drugs and other natural resources, the middle east, though some countries are rich, they are still being robbed by the west

  • mrwebbyd, i wasnt intending to make it a race issue, it already is a race issue, as well as a greedy corporate "it will cost too much money" issue, as well as a whole load more issues. The main fact is that the american government dont give a toss about the american people, and they give even less of a toss about the none white americans. we gotta remember that a small group of people control the majority of the worlds wealth and resources and they are white neo cristians with an arranged agenda

  • I wonder weather its wise to rebuild a city that is supposed to be below sea level especially since the scientific consensus says sea levels are rising mmm no New Orleans is to PRECIOUS

  • The Arrmy Core of Engineers should've known better. I think and feel they should pay some form of restatution

  • if it had hit west palm beach people would have been evacuated before it even hit, and the clean up and rescue would have been so quick that I doubt a news camera anywhere whould have had time to set up to record the "devastation."

  • the president the army corps of engineers fema the national guard there is plenty of blame to spread around unfortunately at the cost of hundreds of american lives i make no distinction of color or race the true heroes of katrina were the ordinary citizens that took small boats and at risk of pesonal safety helped hundreds if not thousands of people in need simply because it was the right thing to do a sad and also uplifting commentary to our humanity

  • i think it was kind of a race issue! how can u wait so long to go and help your own people after a disaster like that! wat was it like 5 days almost a week! wtf type of shit is that..... it makes me feel kinda bad that i live in this country and it is 2009 and we are not looking out for our own people! wats going to happen next? WTF!

  • Wait....... LOL that clip of the stadium, looks like their was lots more room for cots......

  • @NiteAngel yes, except, keep in mind, that stadium was in HOUSTON where some were lucky enough to flee...

HOUSTON that pic is of the ASTRODOME

  • My brother was an OTR driver, and he donated his time and his company, his miles, to deliver water to the Katrina survivors. There were 50 truckloads of water brought to New Orleans, and they were parked, denied access into storm-torn areas, for four, I repeat, FOUR DAYS!!! People were killing each other for water while there were literally hundreds of thousands of gallons waiting for them. The Army had to go in and take away all those pesky guns before anyone could be helped.

  • mrwebbyd we think alike i am glad that you dont live here either.with that being said lets be friends

  • im glad im not american. but @binkiie4dictator, dont make this a race this aswel as everything it already is

  • YOUR right the Army Core of Engineers are a lazy, over payed. horny. women molesting bunch of revolting. smelly, fart filled Males, just like the Bankers that are NOT providing loans with money they get at zero percent interest, they Are using that money to buy TBill with our tax money, TO enrich themself, lets take back that money and rebuild new Orleans, they just going to use that money to buy Property in Dubai

  • LOL@NiteAngel your right that should be the 1 story of the year, Bankers stealing the wealth of this Nation since it;s still an ongoing story BUT I bet David is in the pockets of the Bankers, I wonder who is not

  • @NiteAngel surely, they are all that you say. but, it's bigger than that. it's abt all corporate/government entities, vs. US (ppl, not THE U.S.)

basically, N.O. and Dubai are abt the same, as far as building in/on the water.

I worked in the lower 9th ward last year.

there are no words to express.

my heart truly goes out to all...survivors, and those that did not. peace

  • thankfully for me I havnt ever been involved in a natural disaster. But if ever I was, i would hope that the full weight of the country i lived in would be behind any kind of humanitarian effort to help out its people. Unfortunatly the disaster that came with Katrina, showed just how slack, and down right oblivious the american government seams to be when it comes to helping its own people.being a predominantly black community had nothing to do with it, obviously

  • @binkiie4dictator riiiiiiiiiiiiiight;-) OR, that that property could/would be much more valuable

..........down the road, NO, I ment, down the river~
