just when I thought I have heard and adored every Bruce song I ever could, he creates something so beautiful as this, and ads to his incredible body of work that documents the human condition as only Bruce can. One of his best songs, so romantic, he really knows how to write them. I was there that night and between this song and "I wish I were blind" it did bring me to tears. Both are played so rarely I could not believe I was hearing two of my favorites in one show. There is no one else like him!!!
6 kids & 2 failed marraiges later, my 1st love and I recently reconnected. I hadn't seen him for 25 years. It's been hard at times as we are busy raising our kids. Even so it feels as though we were never apart. He is my best friend. The other night he asked me for a few minutes of my time, which I was glad to give him. He played me this song. When it was done he told me he loved me. It was the most romantic thing ever. Just thought I'd share with you why this will always be my favorite song.

I never gave up loving this man not even knowing that I ever had a chance to be with him. He is THE one for me I have no doubt and I know one day HE will be back in my arms again...for good and forever. I had never heard this song until he put in on a CD for me and I listen to it every single day over and over again....I cannot get enough of this song or HIM....
