Hey. I followed your vids here as well as on TGP. If you still have the amp, I'd love to hear it with a Tele if you get a moment. I'm really curious about the clean and just to the edge of breakup. Thoughts on the clean and the overall volume?
Sounds great!! I might have to get one of those Vintage Hot Rod Strats. Does anyone know if the neck and headstock are finished in nitro, or is it just the body?
believe me, i got a 1995 fender strat, squier series, with old lookin black, hot pickups sounds this good huge twangy sound, liteweight guitar, may be plwood, but huge spankin clean through either amps, old handwired lead 50 marshall, or my engl blackmore, or especially a 1964 modded traynor bassmaster,,
dude i love this chilled out jam you got going on, great playing, i am getting i simaler tone out of my strat, my hiwatt dr-103 and full drive i love it!
I know this is a nooby question, but where did you place plug in your guitar cable if two channels are jumpered and the other two spots aren't filled? Would if make a difference if you place your cable in either of the remaining inputs?
When I first bought the amp, I jumpered the channels. But after talking to Greg Germino, I am now just plugging in the upper left input. The primary reason most people jumper the channels is to add bass or gain, and the Germino has plenty available even when you don't jumper the channels.
hi - do you think the fralin upgrade made a big improvement in tone?? I just got the hot rod 62 and like the stock tone, but this sounds pretty amazing. I guess it has a lot to do with your amp as well. thanks
I thought the stock pickups were very good , but I am a big fan of the Fralins and think they do make a noticeable difference. I especially like the SP43 in the bridge position. It really fattens things up.

@kmcypress1 Will post a Tele video soon. I don't have this particular Club 40, but another one and it kills with a Tele.

Strat sounds great! How's the neck? Is it more similar to a Gibson 50s style neck or the 60s style?

Hey man, Good stuff. I have a question though, do you have an external mic running into the zoom, or are you just using the built in ambient mics?
MaximumThompson 2 years ago
Just used the built in mics for this demo.

where can i get small jumpers like the one you have plugged in your germino?
marshallstakkk 2 years ago
They are George L's cables. I tried them briefly when I first bought the amp, but now I just plug into the high treble channel (upper left)

What's that tune a t 2:20, sounds so familiar, just can't place it...I WILL buy one someday, awesome tone...Where's the LP clips?!
Briguygtr 2 years ago
That tune is "Poor Miss" by Big Head Todd
Still working on the Les Paul clips. I was playing my Les Paul and OCD through the Germino today and it was brilliant.

Thanks! It's an Ultimate Attenuator. It's incredible! Very transparent.

yeah! yellow ledbetter. may i ask how thick is the neck of 62 hot rod strat? urs obviously has major tone.
nevkv 3 years ago
The neck is chunky. It's as beefy as my 57 Historic Goldtop Les Paul.
cgarrity 3 years ago
I would say that Germino made the improvement in tone.
