  • He just ran over Ryan McNeil....0:39

  • The diesel! This football player made me the redskins fan that I am today!

  • walter payton way better

  • @itsmybunny1 you can't even compare the two different types of RB.

  • @itsmybunny1 way better???? not as a blocker!!!!! and hey while we are at it,,, where is Walter Payton's super bowl mvp trophy???? BABaHahahaha!!!!!!

  • @collin355 yes a way better blocker. and hey while were at it did john riggins even pass the 10000 yard rushing mark? bahahahahaha!!!!!! dumb ass

  • @itsmybunny1 hey DUMB ASS...you might wanna check your facts before shooting off your stupid mouht..Riggins did have over 10,000 yards..and hey who ended walters carrer?? the redskins in chicago in 88 playoffs...HOSEBAG!!!!!

  • Thats why my business is named id44.com today..after Riggin's number!

  • Payton Hillis runs like Riggins.

  • @stephengerondakis ...not even close..hillis is more like czonka...and czonka even said Riggo was a better RB than himself

  • The Redskins won by running the football and passing the ball. They did both. With a couple of exeptions, the rest of the league went absolutely pass crazy. All of their plays looked alike and all of the games looked alike.Outside of the Redskins it was the most boring era of football I have ever seen in my life. All those incomplete passes dragging the game on 31/2 hours or longer.

  • What folks fail to realize, was when Riggo was at the University of Kansas, he won states in the 100 yard dash. This was a big, fast, nasty mother...

  • I imagine that it happened a time or two, but I have never seen a video in which one defender was able to bring the Diesel down by himself.

  • I'll say this about the lack of white running backs: you can't tell me there haven't been ANY white guys capable of running the ball in the NFL since Craig James went for a dime in 1985. Law of averages.

  • loved to hate him, dallas fan-best rb -now because of racism, riggins would be blocking fb,maybe not even make the team-alstoot was great runner till john gruden made him a blocker and ruined his neck

  • Those were the days....

  • ikr

  • I love how people rag on riggins and say hey anybody could have made that run ...they fail to mention the 150 yards a game he averaged for the playoffs that year..LOL

  • @collin355 Let alone he was hungover for half of those games. Was it the Lions game where he came directly from the hospital with the flu? Only to go for like 180 on them?

  • @DCsportsTalk I dont remember that but i do remember at one point his back was so bad that he would go to the hospital to rest it for the week and check out on saturdays for the game kick ass and than back to the hospital on monday..that went on for about a month..thats dedication!!!!

  • @collin355 I know the handovers is true, I remember he was hungover as were a lot of the linemen, just wasn't sure of the hospital, but maybe I'm thinking of regular season. I wasn't alive when he played for us.

  • @collin355

I think might have been more then that in avg Lol

  • Crank up that Diesel!!

  • 2nd best power back in Pro Football History only behind Jim Brown.

  • Joe Bugel said that this play was designed where every Dolphin would be blocked except Dolphin DB Don McNeil which was fine because as Bugel said there isn't a DB in the NFL that can tackle Riggins by himself & this play is a pretty good example of that.

  • @FrsBigeasy 2nd best is only yet another opinion. The 2 top authorities on RBs to me are Jim Brown and Paul Z, neither of which have him 2nd. In truth, Csonka, Bo, Earl and Nagurgski were easily ahead of him.

  • @hardcorehouse

Actually I believe NFL Films has it right on this one, Jim Brown the best Power RB of all time & overall the best RB of all time & John Riggins the number 2 Power RB of all time & also one of the Top 10 RB of all time.

  • don mcneal got OWNED LMAO

  • True, then again Riggo was 6-2 235 and McNeal was 5-11 190 so McNeal didn't really have a chance to bring him down anyway.

  • @Jeff051176 yeah... I think thats what he just said.

  • great vid

i cant watch this video bR
