@steamfan1998 i know i own one and 4 mamods but how they made it look like it was burning coal and the fake smoke ran out so i wrote that it was pulling to much waght and that it burnd up all it's coal so what ever but the moding they did is really cool they made it look american how cool is that :)

how did you get that smoke clour?

@123wazzy The smoke is a pyrotecnic mixture similar to the firework smoke balls. A brown smoke can be made with the firework smoke by taking out the composition from green and red and crushing it to a fine powder then mix them together through a window screen. The preportion has to be experimented with so it is not too green or red. The Black cat brand of smoke balls work for this at about one part green and two parts red, or there abouts. Or is it two green and one red? What ever works.

Okay, I remade more black cat smoke, and it is 1 part red 2 parts green. A little blue does help to take down the reddishness a bit.

When I got the smoke bombs the round balls did not have any red ones. The best thing to do is get the Blackcat M-8 smoke cartriges, they have a lot of smoke stuff in them.

@rzzgecko I made spoke inserts and fit them over the original spokes that I first painted black. Some people have knocked out the spokes and stuck a whole Mamod TE wheel inside, that looks real good. To get a better look at the spokes click on my name and wach the videos. Modified Wilesco in the snow.

I do'nt know if you mean fired using a firetube boiler but they at least are running on steam. The big blasting puffs kinda do'nt look right but that is the way the stuff worked. If it was steady it would have been better.

Thanks for the compliments. The smoke was created with a pyrotechnic smoke mixture, I am not happy with it as it is not steady burning.. The sound effects are from a small tape recorder I had near the camera.
