  • I just want to FUCKING EAT THERE! Oh MY GOD THIS PLACE BRINGS ME CLOSE TO TEARS ITS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN

  • @HighrockTendales i know EXACTLY how you feel.. i had a sting to the heart when i first heard that they were closing :'( but the "last meal" sounded amazing.. 50 dishes to 50 people.. AMAZING!

  • For that there are only men?

  • is that the sound of the sea in the background?

  • Each of these guys are good enough to be executive chefs in other restaurants

  • @uberathlete what do you know about that??

  • cool

  • I think that you can hear the sea..that's awesome!

  • no llevan gorros????

  • @Xifis la comida es tan especializada y personal en ese lugar, que se darian cuenta hasta de una pestaña en los platos, por eso no usan gorros, aunke yo tambien lo noto antihigienico.

  • hi my friends...how can i apply for a apprentice to one good restaurant like this?i have good experience in cooking...just i need to work in the best restaurant..

  • where are hats

  • but do not use the hat?

  • Ferran is brilliant!!!

  • I think its sad that when people are starving that we can get caught up over the most trivial things like paying lots of money for froth and bubble.

  • yeah its great isn t it?

  • "Paying so much" is necessary for a restaurant with such extreme labor costs to break even.

I have been starving in the past, but it never made me feel anger towards the arts.

The world food crisis is not the fault of the arts.

  • there are only 40.000 couverts available per year and there is a deman of 400.000 ! You have 1/10 chance to eat there at 300eur/menu.

  • Make that: 8.000 couverts and a demand of 2.000.000.

  • actually its more like 2 million applicants a year and only 8 thousand covers!!ive tried for the last 3 years ! one day man...

  • 55 chefs for 55 covers man!! that something ..

  • 1 year advance reservation

  • seriously? you have to call 1 year early? dang...

  • I bet the chefs in that kitchen are on a fair whack eh? :]

  • Only some of them. I know quite a few of them dont get paid at all. Same with the fat duck, they volunteer to work for free, for the experience

  • Ah yes I can understand that, Imagine you being able to say you have worked at the best resteraunt in the world eh?

  • It is rather lame though. I'd compare it to having been taken for a ride by McLaren than then go claim you "drive formel 1 cars". In technicality it is true. Having 'worked for someone' means you were paid money by that someone because they thought you were good enough for their standards. Being a buzzboy for free should not count.

  • @fucknuaf Yes but you see it all wrong. I've never went to culinary school and have learned from experience and the experience you gain from working at resturaunts like the fat duck and el bulli is priceless and i mean literally to lol. But what i'm saying is kids go to school for $50k and you still can't learn what you learn at those resturaunts. I see it as all the money i save on culinary school i can use it to pay rent while i work for free in the best restaurants.

  • @fucknuaf Also if you have el bulli on your resume its pretty much a pass go and collect $200 at any restaurant you see fit to work at in the world..

  • This is the best restaurant ever. Litetally. Google it, you morons.

  • It really is an art how they work together on those dishes.

Lamentable

  • you're an idiot...you wouldnt eat at EL BULLI because they dont wear hats...listen my friend, take it from me Kitchen Staff dont wear hats at all times...some popular chefs dont bother with them. I dont, i just keep my hair really short.

  • Wearing hats in a kitchen is not a requirement. You may be thinking of cartoons or films.

I imagine you wont be eating at many restaurants (if any) if the hygiene at el bulli isnt up to your standard!

  • it should be a requirement then. why didnt anyone think of making it a requiremnt till now!?

i find sometimes my girlfriends hairs in the cooking, and we are just two people...but a kitchen with 17 coocks stikking their heads that close to the dish?? thats just foolish.

  • @CT2507 I've worked in haute cuisine since i was 17 i'm almost 22 now and you'd be surprised if you get a haircut on a regular basis its rare a hair would fall out. Cuisine like this especially el bulli most of the dishes served are so small you would never miss a hair going out. On top of that seeing as 3-4 people are putting the one dish together the chef de cuisine overviewing them all the expediter and the runner. Your looking at a minimum of 6 people checking that dish before it goes out.

  • @landyl well, on second thought, wearing head gear is probably not an absolute protection against hairs in the food anyway. i guess that's why u never see guys like Ramsay and Jamie Oliver using them. so yea, i take my remark back.

    cheers.

  • for every starkok is this the limeted

looks like heaven to me :P

and one day i will working ther(A)

  • yeah. when thats all you can afford i'd be worried about my heart not the taste of grease

  • Comment removed

  • you have the choice to believe anything event........crap..

  • try saying that to all the starving people in the world. people who eat here are fat pigs

  • Wow is that water in the backround i hear? amazing how they work and what comes out..

  • the best restaurant in the world and nobody has a hat? and just few of them are wearing glove!

  • You are a fucking idiot.

  • like your mother.... i just said waht i see..... if that is a important kitchen it should not happen....if u don`t like what a said, that`s not my ef` problem

  • I've worked in professional kitchens for about ten years in some pretty good restaurants. 50% of chefs at most wear hats, none wear gloves. Gloves are actually 100 times worse for cross contamination.

  • how can i say this..you have no fucking idea about kitchens and fyi there not wearing hats because there hair is cut short

and the women have there hair tied back....GOD common sense is a fucking super power....back 2 gloves i sanitise my hands twice b4 cooking and i mean very well nails, cut short you name it id rather be using my hands then gloves tht have been processed in a shit hole factory and stored in a cardboard box where the bacteria is having a fucking party i mean cmon!!!!

  • true at 100% its actually a big mistake to wear glove all the time...it s a lure ....a tricky way to let people its the solution.....i saw a lot of cook, chef,etc..using glove al the time , so ,they said, they dont have to clean there hands very often............what a mistake.......a big error.......not very professionel..........

  • @wahoo202 true i am a chef well actually a junior chef and i hate wearing gloves it just doesn't feel right

  • @wahoo202 I know of a study done by a micro-biologist into the benefits of wearing gloves sponsored by a major glove maker...it ended with a legal threat against the bio..is that all you need to know..?!!! the gloves are poison!!!

  • @wahoo202 you are a mabet

  • and you r a fucking dick.

  • haha Luisa you nailed 'em!

  • 0:10 seconds, a chef scratching his head in the kitchen of the world's best restaurant.

  • i didnt know chefs in the worlds best restaurants were immune to itchy heads? must be one of those weird ripleys facts i havent yet come across

  • what kitchen humor?

  • there is none.

  • my friends water is served there, and this place is ONE of a kind. Try searching spherical olive.

  • hate to say it but....a handfull of us fillipino's & mexicans could seat twice as much just as fast if not a lil faster. gr8 vid

  • fucking hell man: APPROXIMATELY 17 PEOPLE... aahhhh scared me

  • El Bulli, Celler de Canroca, Mugaritz.

Thats the trilogy everyone should experience.

  • Buen video sobre la cocina vista desde fuera de elBulli. Es el mejor restaurante del mundo.

  • Anyone who dosent like the food at El Bulli probably dosent understand it. That is not meant as an insult, i also enjoy home style comfort food. My next restaurant visit is to Noma.

  • el bulli is pure magic...

  • i think this place is a joke and the food is a joke and feel free to call me anything you like but i like my food to consist of more than a science experiment and a tiny portion (add fat guy jokes) and I also like to relate to the food in a visual sense (I am sure there is a dig you can have there but am not sure what it is). Hooray for roast dinners :D

  • It might not be what you like but it doesn't necessarily make it a joke. I love roast dinners too but have also eaten there and it is amazing, so i suppose until you've tried it you will never know.

  • have you ever been to el bulli yourself? no? then you're joking.. el bulli offers you the best dinning experience that you can ever imagine and that experience im talking about here is something you will still talk about with your friends even after few years time. can you give someone a dinning experience like this? you know the answer more clear than me or anyone else here.

  • Did you ever eat at el bulli?

  • in that kitchen you fight all day its like a army bro, you work best if not you fuck up

  • that isnt true at all

  • No that's not Elbulli but a kitchen runs by chef like Marco Pierre White.. i think most chefs will not enjoy working at el bulli but ill not bring the reason up. i know some of my friends didn't..

  • i am going next year, so stoked

  • i heard he usually has 55 chefs cooking for 55 people, cuz thats all his restaurant can seat. and out of 1 million requests a year only about 8000 people get the chance to dine there. you are truly lucky to have experienced it.
